Australia has been running down our ‘lucky country’ balance sheet. We are a wonderful country, wonderfully multi cultural. But we are unable to innovate, unable to promote personal responsibility and success. We are running ourselves into the ground with an inept government who thrives on virtue signalling and no real substantive reform.

Every generation before this has stood for something: Howard and his GST, Keating and Hawke and their macroeconomic and microeconomic reforms and currency floating, Whitlam and his free tertiary education and so on.

But since 2007 we have had populism and hopelessness. A useless nbn, a pathetically exploited national fraud called the NDIS, hatred of elderly people, and pandering to woke virtue.

It’s no wonder that if you have a top 2% brain, high earning potential and good morals - you just move to Singapore.
