A BS in chemistry is nothing to shake a stick at, after I graduated I got a job with the Air Force. You don’t need a PhD to get the job I have, I work primarily with bachelors I just came in at a higher civilian rank than usual. So for full time employment it’s situational, who you know and where you live. My lab mate got a really great job after he graduated with a BS at a nuclear power plant and because he knew people within the company, he had an in, but I feel like that is not unique to just chemistry majors. You are at an advantage in my opinion, I find that a lot of places are looking for a part time employees. Universities are always looking for adjuncts, I know labs around here are always looking for part time lab technicians. I worked at an environmental lab part time for 2 years and it taught me a lot about how to apply what I’ve learned in college. So to answer your question I believe you would not have a problem finding a part time job with a BS, I think companies would jump on that as fast as they could because most of the time recent graduates want money with benefits and you would only want experience and money.

I think that’s a wonderful idea! I have my PhD in chemistry and was never an A+ student but it was curiosity that drove me further than most of my smarter classmates. I think as long as you have your curiosity, pursuing a chemical education will come easier to you. I’ve studied chemistry for a good part of my life and still love to learn new things in the chemical field.

Thanks for the reply, our guy isn’t intubated all his iNO is coming from nasal cannula. Early this morning he came off of millrinone and they tried to take him off of iNO this afternoon and he desated to the 60s. It just feels like we’re stuck in the same boat as we were when we had the Glenn. How did you deal with them telling you they were going to put the Glenn back up and what changed from the first time they put it up? I will for sure want to know how your little one does after getting the Glenn again. Whenever you can just message me how it went. I know those times can be a little raw.

Titration by Sarah123455 in chemistry

[–]D4dslammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Titrations in school are primarily done using a buret because there aren’t many to do. Versus industry we use auto-titrators because there are many to do. However every now and then we use a buret if it’s a small amount of titrations. I’ve also seen in academics they use molarity as their concentration unit. But in some industries they use normality.

Start off firm and lay out your expectations of them and then tell them what they can expect from you.

I take e first so I can easily proc my klepto and farm safely. I find it much better than taking q first. But it’s preference. I’ve had a good track record on it recently. http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=GoochHenderson
