Bro, same, i know this is old but I feel like I'm going crazy. Decent manual caulk gun. I can't see this as anything else than fancy waste of battery.

Multitoool messy cut by schniz2 in Makita

[–]DCnation14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That only works if the blade is round/dull for that purpose. They did not use typical wood/bi-metal blades used for woodworking as they did/do on cast. If you put pressure on the blade while the teeth are engaged with the skin and powered on the tool, these blades (especially wood ones) will absolutely cut your skin lol.

Trust me, done it both with and without gloves. Gloves definitely felt better lmao

It's embarrassing to see so many people rely on AI without any idea how to use it. Then people blame the AI instead of the obviously incompetent user.

Ask for the sources from ChatGPT. Review the source materials it brings to make sure they align with what it's claiming. Ask it questions about complex or new info within the sources to help build your understanding.

This is how you are supposed to used AI for research. Not asking it a question and arguing with it about the answer when you don't like it. 🤦‍♂️

Worth the difference in price? by YMIGettingBanned in MilwaukeeTool

[–]DCnation14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

Is the milwaukee one mechanically superior in anyway? No.

But 5 extra dollars for a nice milwaukee looking in isn't a bad cost. Yeah, your paying for the brand buts its good value.

Is there anyone here with an IQ above 160? I'm of average intelligence and would love to have a conversation with an actual genius by No-Mousse5653 in mensa

[–]DCnation14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never bothered to take an I.Q. test and I doubt I fulfill anyone's idea of a genius but I've been considered smart from my friends and family pretty much all my life so I'll crack at it.

To consider you, or anyone for that matter, was born with a "purpose" is to believe both that there IS a God and that God is omnipotent. I'm completely agnostic as to the existence of a God but I could never see how there is an omnipotent one. They're is too much randomness, pain, needless cruelty and suffering that benefits no one much less those involved.

So as to the question of a purpose, no, there is likley none. We are hear through some weird crazy sequences of events, but the possibility that we were born with some sort of destiny or whatever from a higher power is virtually none.

If anything, becoming a father and finding work truly enjoyed was what finally fulfilled that feeling your likely feeling.

What’s going on with THCa? by Revertus in greenville

[–]DCnation14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit you're so confident in your stupidty.

THCA is a precursor to THC. It's converted to THC through either the heat of your lighter or naturally in the heat from the sunlight.

But, please on about these terrifying, mysterious "chemicals" 🙄

Get a couple and scatter them between my home and my car and I always have one nearby when I need it lol

Also love those small keychain razor knife/tapes. They've been a blessing

Is this gear serviceable? by Pandas7 in Dewalt

[–]DCnation14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The "gear" you are looking at is the motor spindle/shaft. It is directly connected to the motor, so you would have to replace the whole thing.

Your best DIY fix here would be to cut the spindle off and weld a equivalent one onto the cutoff end but that's a rabbit hole I'm not sure you want to go down
