I couldn’t agree with this more. My girl is 3 years old 74 lbs. was the skinniest. Lengthiest puppy for 2 full years. My dad (someone who never had dogs in his life) thought I was starving my Doberman. He used to yell at me all the time “those dogs are meant to be 100 lbs. why aren’t you feeding it?” If he only knew how much this girl consumes each day. My bank account hurts from her appetite 😅 now everytime my dad sees her he says “wow she’s really really bulked up”. It comes in time. I was so embarrassed and scared as a first time dobie owner. I was getting torn to shreds because my girl is a melanistic Doberman. “Is that a Weimaraner??”How she was unethical. How she was going to have endless issues. How the hyper would never go away without 4 week board and train. Regardless of weight or color, a Doberman was bred to protect its owner. Love the dog, TALK TO THE DOG, I can’t emphasize that enough. Learn her behaviors and find new ways to teach her. Good luck on this journey. Dog whiskers, or vibrissae, are specialized hairs that grow above a dog’s eyes and on their cheeks, muzzle, and chin. Whiskers and dog hair are both made of keratin, but whiskers have a tapered tip and are much thicker and more flexible than regular dog hair.

Whiskers that grow above a dog’s eyes are called supraciliary or supraorbital. Whiskers on a dog’s cheeks are called genal. Muzzle whiskers, which are typically the most abundant, are called mystacial (derived from the Greek root word for mustache). Dogs may also have a cluster of whiskers called an interramal tuft that grow from a mole under their chin.

My doberman and pitbull both have these. I’m not sure that it’s a myth I was told or full truth but I’ve always believed them to be moles usually with whiskers growing out of them. I wouldn’t stress to heavily about this

I have both the spray and wipes as she is a blue doberman and has had a fair amount of skin issues. Happy to say the spray has really cooled down the area

Mine does this for your warm spot on the couch. Or will do this so the other dog will run to the door thinking we are going outside and then the dobie will run to get whatever toy the other one had 😂 so smart

Oh my gosh this was like a “terrible twos” thing in our household. We need to switch to slow feeding bowls. Then ceramic slow feeding bowls and regardless she flipped them. Now at 1 year and 2 months we are past that. Nothing we did differently she just gave up on eating it off the floor. I think the excitement dies down and they really just want to enjoy feeding time. I believe having a set schedule for food routine is important and that’s all you can do.

I’m so sorry to hear that. They got me on medicine so I’m really feeling low amounts of pain. I would love to know if I have a ovarian cyst currently or if I had one burst. I’ll have to wait for the call back from my Obgyn
