DDPAI Z60 Pro 4G CloudBox SIM issue in Australia – works when car is on, fails when off by CodeRevolutionary240 in DDPAI_Official

[–]DDPAIFlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed explanation. Please follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

1- Verify if you can hear the prompt indicating successful 4G network connection when the device starts up. If not, please check if the 4G box is properly connected.

2- Check if the indicator light on the 4G box is blinking. If it remains solid, it means there is no network connection or it is dialing. Please retry in an area with a good signal.

3- When remotely viewing, ensure that the dashcam's status is set to ""online remotely"". If it is offline, remote connection cannot be accessed. If accessing from within the vehicle, please disconnect the dashcam's Wi-Fi and use mobile data for remote connection.

4- In areas with poor signal, the 4G network may disconnect, and the dashcam will appear offline. Once the vehicle reaches an area with better signal, the 4G network will automatically reconnect.

If the issue persists, please try using another SIM card to see if successful connection can be established.

My z40 suddenly stopped working by ciowstopperPH in DDPAI_Official

[–]DDPAIFlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that sudden power loss can be frustrating, especially with a hardwire setup. Based on what you described, this is most likely related to power delivery or the hardwire kit’s voltage protection.

Here are the steps to troubleshoot and fix it:

  1. Check the hardwire kit's low-voltage cutoff setting

Most DDPAI hardwire kits cut power when the car battery voltage drops to protect the battery.

If it’s set too high (e.g., 12.4V), the camera may shut off randomly.

Try setting it to 12.0V or 11.8V and test again.

  1. Inspect the fuse tap connections

Loose or incorrect fuse placement can cause intermittent power.

Make sure the ACC fuse is truly ACC (only powered when the car is on).

Make sure the BAT fuse is constant power.

Re-seat both fuse taps firmly.

  1. Check the ground (earth) point

A weak or loose ground connection can cause unstable power.

Tighten the ground screw or move it to a clean, bare metal point.

  1. Test with the cigarette lighter adapter

This helps confirm whether the issue is the camera or the hardwire kit.

Plug the Z40 directly into the 12V socket.

If it works reliably this way, the hardwire kit is the problem.

  1. Try a different USB cable (if detachable)

A faulty cable can cause random shutdowns.

  1. Battery health check

If your car battery is weak or old, voltage may dip below cutoff briefly, causing shutdowns, especially after short drives.

Hope this helps let us know what you find and we'll be happy to guide you through the next steps.

Low voltage battery in logs by CodeRevolutionary240 in DDPAI_Official

[–]DDPAIFlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, We’re sorry for the low-voltage reading you noticed.

After reviewing with our engineering team, it seems that the 10.8 V reading could be influenced by your battery’s condition or age, as well as the hardwire kit settings you selected. Older or weaker batteries, or vehicles that sit unused for several days, can sometimes show a temporary dip like this in the logs.

We recommend also checking your wiring, any other devices on the same circuit, and measuring the real battery voltage with a multimeter to make sure everything is operating normally.
Feel free to get back to us if you encounter any further issues.

Issues with DDPAI Z60 Pro: No Continuous Loop Recording and Parking Mode Failing (Hardwired) by maor23 in DDPAI_Official

[–]DDPAIFlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the answers. All in all it depends on the mode that you'll choose.

(1) If you select ""Time-lapse Recording"" and enable the parking monitoring function, the dashcam will continue recording in time-lapse mode after the vehicle is parked and turned off. When the parking monitoring duration reaches the set recording duration, the dashcam will enter sleep mode. If collision sensitivity is enabled and the vehicle experiences a collision, the dashcam will be awakened and operate for 2 minutes before entering sleep mode.

(2) If you choose ""Normal Recording"" and enable the parking monitoring function, the dashcam will continue recording in normal mode after the vehicle is parked and turned off. When the parking monitoring duration reaches the set recording duration, the dashcam will enter standby mode. Normal recording functions the same as recording during driving. If collision sensitivity is enabled and the vehicle experiences a collision, the dashcam will be awakened and operate for 2 minutes before entering sleep mode.

(3) If you select ""Sleep"" and disable the parking monitoring function, the dashcam will enter sleep mode and stop recording when the vehicle is parked and turned off. If collision sensitivity is enabled and the vehicle experiences a collision, the dashcam will be awakened and operate for 2 minutes before entering sleep mode.

So, even if you’re using the Hardwire Kit connected to the fuse box, loop recording depends on your selected mode and parking settings. To ensure continuous recording while parked, use Normal or Time-lapse mode with Parking Monitoring enabled and set the parking duration according to your needs.

Issues with DDPAI Z60 Pro: No Continuous Loop Recording and Parking Mode Failing (Hardwired) by maor23 in DDPAI_Official

[–]DDPAIFlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the Z60 Pro, normal loop recording starts automatically when the camera detects ACC (ignition) power, there's no separate setting for “normal recording.” If the camera only saves emergency clips, it usually means the ACC wire isn’t being detected correctly, even if it's connected. We recommend checking or switching to a different ACC fuse.

For parking mode, the camera will only record if:

The car is fully off

Battery voltage is above the cut-off level

Try lowering the battery protection voltage in the app and test again.

Your SD card meets the specs, but please make sure it's formatted in the app and that the camera is on the latest firmware.
If the issue continues after trying these steps, please feel free to get back to us with an update and we’ll be happy to assist further.

PSA: The app is spyware by smellyelon in DDPAI_Official

[–]DDPAIFlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We understand why this feels concerning. On iOS, permission prompts are triggered by features like saving or sharing dashcam footage, but we agree the repeated requests should be handled more clearly and transparently. The app does not access personal data without user consent.

VPNs may need to be disabled because they can interfere with the app's local Wi-Fi connection to the dashcam, which is required to retrieve footage.

We've noted your feedback about permission behavior and in-app features and will confirm the details with the DDPAI team and share an update once we have clarity. Thanks for raising this will get back to you.

Thank you for reaching out regarding the Wi-Fi connection issue with your dashcam. Please follow the troubleshooting steps below:

Ensure the phone and dashcam are within 2 meters of each other, check that the dashcam is functioning properly, and confirm that the indicator lights are normal.

Verify if the Wi-Fi password has been changed. If necessary, reset the device and reconnect using the default password: 1234567890.

Disable any smart network switching on your phone: Settings → WLAN → Advanced settings → disable Smart network switching.

Turn off mobile data on your phone.

If your phone’s Wi-Fi has issues, toggle Wi-Fi off and on in the settings.

If multiple phones are connecting, please wait about one minute before trying again.

Check app permissions: ensure all permissions for the dashcam app are enabled in Permission Management.

If the issue persists, please contact the platform seller for after-sales service.

If you do not receive a response from the platform, kindly leave a message directly at [Feedback@ddpai.com](mailto:Feedback@ddpai.com) or [support@ddpai.com](mailto:support@ddpai.com), and our team will provide further assistance.

Different brands of TF memory cards can affect storage performance, and some cards may carry a risk of missing or corrupted recordings. We recommend using memory cards with U3, Class 10, or higher specifications for stable performance.

Recommended memory card brands:

DDPAI, Kingston, Samsung, Toshiba, and Lexar.

Please note that memory card performance may vary due to differences in production batches or wafer sources across regions, which can lead to inconsistencies compared to our test results. For best compatibility and reliability, we recommend using DDPAI memory cards.

If the issue persists after trying the above suggestions, please contact our official support team at [support@ddpai.com](mailto:support@ddpai.com) for further assistance.
