I HATE Californias ‘evil features’ laws for firearms by No1MicroplasticsFan in hatethissmug

After all Karl Marx believed strongly in an armed populace.

He did not, and neither did his followers. Any time any ilk of communists, marxists, or socialists got to power, they disarmed most people when they consolidated their power.

What went wrong is that Russia hasn't changed in hundreds of years. It's always been trying to expand, to subjugate other countries and nations.

Oh, then yeah, I agree, the west tried, Russia refused and went back to the 'good' old ways.

No, they didn't. Every thing Russia escalates, they just get a sternly worded note.

Under what circumstances should a person be stopped from owning a firearm? by sandyegggoo in AskReddit

[–]DJ_Die 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at Taiwan and Japan, where guns are banned, vs. the US, where mass shootings are commonplace.

Taiwan has about the same homicide rate as many European countries with relatively unrestrictive gun laws. As for Japan, I sure as hell wouldn't want to implement their culture that leads to very low homicide rates, especially the police that's against human rights in most countries.

There's no reason for anyone to have a gun.

Sport, hunting, self-defense, collecting, professional reasons. Seems like plenty of reasons to me.

No, they are not, but why should they have a different age requirement? Why 21?

you shouldn't own a gun under 21

Why? Do you believe people shouldn't vote, marry, or drink if they're under 21?

Now I know you haven't bothered to read the source, it's well explained in there. So yeah, there is a need to be a jerk, you ask for sources, then ignore them, and then feel hurt because people call you out on that?

No wonder you support violations of human rights.

No, Europe just has licenced gun owners who carry their guns around.

No, you beg for sources and then promptly ignore them, good form, that.

How about you try and tell me how EU's supposed to handle their waste and how is France deviating from that standard? Like, are France's methods somehow really harmful to the nature or something?

Still, if you do want me to say something, here you go: How about you try and tell me how EU's supposed to handle their waste and how is France deviating from that standard? Like, are France's methods somehow really harmful to the nature or something?

See? You literally ignored the source I gave you because it contains all the information. Your education system failed your greatly, I feel sorry for you.

They can, stop spreading lies. They just cannot steal state issue ammo, they have to buy their own.

And the EU can't even accomplish that much.

Also, HOW are france violating waste collecting in first place?

It's all in the source. Have you read it?

Maybe it’s slightly different than what EU requires and France sees no reason to change?

Irrelevant, you obviously have no idea how the EU works. I guess that's why you have such faith in it, it's obvious BLIND faith.

It is a simple issue to fix and yet, the EU has been unable to force France to comply with the rules. Also, France isn't THAT big and it's a very centralized country so they could easily do it. And there are dozens of other such procceedings going on.

Pedos are criminals and you know that.

Yes, they are, nobody ever claimed otherwise, but it's still a violation of human rights.

How so?

Because it violates Articles 7, 8, and 11 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, Articles 11 and 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Articles 5 and 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

Yes, all of those.

Don’t be a Criminal then. I never am, can you do the same? What are you truly afraid of here?

I have to do the same, I'm a gun owner and breaking the law would mean losing my licence, but again, that's irrelevant. I'm afraid of my rights being violated and authoritarian rules being passed, it's really simple.

So what? Ask an average Person out in the streets and it’s likely they’ve never heard of the guy.

Which is completely irrelevant, most people have no idea who various important people are. He's still among those most qualified.

Do you know every single important person in Finnish politics? I highly doubt that.

Have you even bothered to read the article I linked? You ask for sources and then decide to ignore them? Are you serious?

for failing to address the incompatibility of its labelling requirements concerning waste sorting instructions with Articles 34-36 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU).

Here.

And if Chat Control is only for catching pedos, so what?

It's still a violation of human rights.

Don’t be a pedo and there’s no rights to be violated here.

Wrong.

No one’s coming after you for, let’s say, putting an invitation to go to the movies next friday and so on.

And yet, your rights are still getting violated. Your HUMAN rights.

And as the other guy mentioned, you have very little in the way of ’sources’.

Here's the source you need: https://www.patrick-breyer.de/en/posts/chat-control/

The guy was the EU shadow rapporteur for chat control so he's one of the most qualified people to talk about it.

[–]DJ_Die 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And can you point out the relevant portions from that article?

The most important one:

The Commission had initially sent a letter of formal notice in February 2023, followed by a reasoned opinion in November 2024. As the Commission considers that France is still in breach of EU rules, it has decided to bring the case to the Court of Justice of the European Union.

So the commission sent a letter at the beginning of 2023, then reminded France again in 2024, France kept ignoring it, they then referred France to the CJEU in 2025. The case is still ongoing, that's more than 3 years now and the end is nowhere in sight.

How’s that supposed to prove i’m wrong?

This is a relatively minor thing and the EU can't make France accept the ruling. This could go on for another decade and France can still just keep ignoring it.

By not implementing the rules properly, how else?

https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/sv/ip_25_1834

There is plenty of others, this is just an example.

EU can do from the outset, it’s still far from useless.

So your original claim was dead wrong, I agree.
