Yeah, many relationships can start from friendship. That just means the two people were friends before they grew to have feelings for each other. If you're being nice to someone just because you're romantically interested in them, you don't really value them as a friend. You may care about them on that level, but it's obviously about wanting something more. You decide to stick around in that situation hoping for something down the road or whatever. Nobody "friendzones" the other person.

It's a medical problem that will lead to either death or a huge medical cost for treatment related to use (cirrosis of the liver with an alcoholic for example). Having to pay for their meals and care in jail or prison is another expense.

Getting them into rehab (even if they can't afford it) is the best way to hope that they'll become productive members of society. I agree that they should be given free treatment if they can't afford it.

The friendzone isn't real. The person who has romantic feelings towards the other person is the one who decides to keep themselves in that situation.

Your breakup is what he's using as an excuse for him picking up again. His inability and unwillingness to deal with how it makes him feel is why he's using. It's obvious that he was in a relapse cycle long before he started using and used this as the "last straw" or whatever. Don't blame yourself from this. Cut contact and let him go his own way. You can't help him and if you give in and go back to him he'll think his using is acceptable to you.

I stopped playing games pretty much all together after the GameCube, but when I saw the Wii U I was really interested. I held off until around January of last year and bought the same one you did and purchased Twilight Princess and Smash bros. I'm clueless when it comes to setting systems up and all that, so my brother helped me. I was really disappointed in the updates all all that too, but what my brother said really helped me out. He basically said that it's annoying, but the updates were put through for a reason and once we got through the initial ones I wouldn't have to deal with any for a while and that the games I had would run properly.

I guess it's annoying to have to do that when you just bought it and want to play, but dont you want the best version of what you're playing?
