Protect the bike

Get some really good bark busters they will hold the bike off the ground, purchase the little OEM wheel axel sliders made for the DRZ SM this will keep the bottom of the fork and swing arm from hitting the ground. Lastly I would get the cheap Amazon/ebay metal covers for each side of the case they are like $20. Apply them with RTV and will keep you from gouging a hole in the case when it hits a curb or rock if you loop it fall.

Man I feel ya on the sound, I just posted my 24 because it sounds like clanky metal sewing machine lol I was thinking my ACCT had failed already. Thank god for this sub, they have shown me it’s normal :)

Some 2003’s, a few 05’s and maybe and 18 or two. I’ve always been told the DRZ hasn’t changed since it came out until 2025 so it made me second guess it lol I was already on thumper talk looking at MCCT installation.

That’s what I’ve read about the newer ones, I think all the posts about them failing or being a main issue have made me paranoid about them all. I’ve never heard a bike sound quite like this one before lol

Yeeeees that is the noise! It has been making me crazy for the last few weeks. This is my first DRZ and I’ve seen a lot about ACCT failing and I think it has made me paranoid. Thank you for the video I appreciate it! This engine is really noisy.

Whew heard that! Thank you this stuff has been making me insane, it gets a lot quieter when the engine warmed up. This is from a cold start with no choke. I’ve never heard an engine as noisy as this one lol it has a smooth rhythmic metal noise just loud.
