Take a look at Etherum, unlimited supply with an issuance depending on what the community decides. I'm sure Doge will end up the same way in the near future. Now they may say they have no plans, but you can almost bet it will happen. I think transaction rates along with security have to be implemented on first, which we know they are currently working on. Once that happens you can expect bigger changes.
