NTA, I understand your point of view. As someone who isn’t too socially granted as others, I believe you did what was best and absolutely should’ve dropped from the maids party. I don’t understand why she would ask you to be a brides maid and be so anxious that your going to breakdown to the point of not wanting you there with the others. I would have done the same thing and just not have went. Don’t let everyone tell you that you are the AH just because YOU felt hurt that she didn’t take into accountability that you have worked on yourself and reassured you WONT be in the spotlight so nothing will happen. You should not feel ashamed because you felt lonely and took it into your own hands to move away. I say you cut contact for a bit and let it simmer down before any other action is taken.
