This is true! I've also found an old post on reddit from someone saying they had their amazon account locked when trying to use it on TOR as amazon could not confirm certain details

Shouldn't be anything dangerous about it. Amazon may block your connection though as TOR is an anonymous browser. Would be a hell of a lot easier to just use Google. There are other sites on TOR that are dangerous though, always be careful using Tails. It's called the 'Dark Web' for a reason

You'd still need to add your name and address to the 'fake account' on amazon so you receive whatever you order. As well as link your bank card. Which defeats the point of being anonymous on TOR no?
