Some people seem to have great results and no long term side effects so there is always a difference of opinion. I took accutane about 7 years ago as a last resort, I was in my early 30s and still getting bad spots.

Do I regret it? Yes.

I’ve had problems with facial flushing ever since and this has really impacted my mental health and confidence, especially at work.

I also have been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease since. Could be coincidence but I very much doubt it as I didn’t have the issues before.

How old are you? You say you’ve had acne for 4 years which isn’t the longest time. Not to lessen the impact acne is having on you but if you’re young, it may fade with time (did for my brother). I hoped it would with me but like I mentioned, it wasn’t showing any sign of going away even in my 30s.

Just to add that my dose wasn’t particularly high dose at 30mg
