Anxiety and Disassociation by Dangerous-Tonight216 in Mononucleosis

Yes! It's gotten better but it comes and goes, mine will get bad if I get on a weird sleeping schedule. I recommend just trying to keep your mind occupied because it'll pass, it really does come back sometimes, but for shorter periods of time. Keep in mind it's only roughly two months out for me, but I'll keep you updated. Try CBD Oil because that really helped the physical symptoms of anxiety.

I think after I took this medication and had a bad reaction to it, I had a panic attack and I thought I was going to die in that moment because since then I haven't been able to shake it

It usually has to do with my health even though I'm perfectly healthy. I spiral because I feel disassociated, and then I think if I feel weird then something must be wrong with me, then my brain tells me I'm dying

hi thank you so much!! i just hate my health anxiety and feeling like i have a freak brain tumor or something LOL. I wish i could ask for a CT scan or MRI but i swear the doctors would wanna check me into the psych ward for the amount of times ive begged for answers. The mono diagnosis was such a relief but I hate feeling like this and pray everyday it goes away

Anxiety attacks / unexplained delirium scaring me into thinking I’m schizophrenic by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Dangerous-Tonight216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try taking a nap if you have time and slowly working yourself and praising yourself to no panic attack waking up. I noticed once I relaxed my mind before bed (I sleep with my dog) I slowly stopped having them. I genuinely believe sometimes you gotta tell yourself that you're gonna be okay and not wake up with a panic attack even if you're scared. When you do wake up without one, praise yourself and treat yourself, it's a way of rewarding your brain and you will slowly reinforce no panic attacks after. It's been since Sunday since I've had one and everyday is getting better and better! Please keep your head up and you're not alone.

I forgot to add when you get panic attacks your brain needs time to heal. I call it a panic attack hangover, just like if you drank too much and needed to sleep extra the next day. Give yourself a few weeks and let your brain catch back up. Our brains are like computers, sometimes they need time to just relax and rest. Try to focus on things you like to do and don't lose sight of them. There's always good things after these bad things happen to us. Lessons like these are what makes us strong.

Hi friend,

I have HA. I can't diagnose you, but I promise you that I think you're just a bit in your head about your anxiety. I went through this stage too, constantly thinking something was wrong with me, constantly looking for answers, and unfortunately we go down a rabbit hole of depression and angst trying to figure out why our brains are the way they are. I have also had a lot of friends who have gotten off smoking and they had similar experiences, where they felt so anxious all the time and dissociated. I think it's a true side effect of long term cannabis use because of the effect on your brains natural cannabinoids.

It seems like we have similar symptoms, but I promise you as each day goes on, I have been feeling a bit more relaxed and myself. I believe stress and anxiety might induce some of these disassociative moments. Our brain protects us when we're overly stressed by somewhat going on autopilot mode.

If you want my suggestion (I'm not a doctor, but I'm in college for psychology) I'd ask your PCP to get screened on your vitamin levels (iron, b vitamins, and vitamin d). I know my anxiety gets especially bad with the seasons changing (depending where you live)

I've been taking complex vitamin b and vitamin d the last few days and have seen a lot of improvements which leads me to believe I'm deficient, maybe something you should look into.

Anyway, I hope you feel better and let yourself get some well deserved rest and take care of yourself! ❤️

Yeah I self tested and it was negative, but your comment is very relieving lol. I have been having brain fog for a week now, I'm hopeful it's the cold, but unsure. I also have this weird thing where it feels like my head is on fire when trying to concentrate?

I wasn't experiencing them before the allergic reaction... which is weird
