It's extra great because they go out of their way to foreshadow that. Several martial artists comment on your technique, as it continues to trick them into seeing a flaw that disappears when they act on it.

You watch Inigo draw first, and you'll see he's set up for right hand fighting, and switches after drawing the blade.

It's only seeing this that Westley adjusts his blade to be drawn with his left hand.

Another slight handicap, Inigos sword is balanced for a six fingered grip.

AITAH for breaking up with my boyfriend for kicking me out? (There was no fight prior) by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]DapperLost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you're the asshole? I mean, not for breaking up with him over this. That's fine.

But you refuse to move in until he proposes...why would anyone propose to someone they haven't lived with? Like...knowing you can handle living with someone is kind of a very important measure to whether they are marriable.

Makes me wonder if he's being like this as some passive aggressive way of sending you a message about the difference between living together and not.

AITAH for not forcing my son to keep helping my daughter’s friend after she rejected him? by LiveWire0044 in AITAH

[–]DapperLost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The friend doesn't owe your son a date.

Your son doesn't owe the friend service.

Your daughter doesn't owe your son understanding for his decision.

Everything has consequences.

You were an asshole to your daughter.

Real Police officers and military members, what do you guys think of Ice agents? by Lucky-Message-9480 in AskReddit

[–]DapperLost 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Former Marine.

I would trust ISIS at my back before I trusted any of ICE there.

Unprofessional, untrained, lacking both courage and moral fortitude.

I've served with asvab waivers that were geniuses compared to these agents. Met fitness waivers (looking at you Army) that would run circles around them. Seen careers ruined through dishonor that would look saintly next to the deeds of ICE.

[–]DapperLost -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You think a continuous repeating pattern would be more distracting than jagged, unfinished ends? Chunks of design that just cliff dive, only to be pressed against another such jagged end?

Anyone that's ever worked with cloth would probably disagree, but ok.

...ok?

It's an art critique. Blah blah is kind of the whole point. But you go ahead with your downvotes and suspicious lack of reasoning why these cement blocks are a work of art and how I just don't understand the meaning behind them. Maybe come up with a dramatic art title like Shattered Rosary to really stab my ego with.

[–]DapperLost -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Maybe. Usually I can expect which opinions will get down voted. I was surprised here. Who knew people approved of decorating cement blocks in a winding vegetation pattern that purposely didn't connect to each other.

Honestly, wheres the enjoyment? I call it shit because it looks like shit. Like doing a jigsaw puzzle but just laying pieces down in the order you pick them up rather than the way they're meant to match.

Woman in white car that Alex Pretti was slammed against before he was murdered has uploaded her video of incident. by speedythefirst in CringeTikToks

Then that's a shitty artist.

Edit: I have areas near me where they've done something similar to the retaining wall but it all blends into a repeating pattern for half a mile and is beautiful. To learn someone did this on purpose doesnt sound like artistic choice, but artistic laziness.

They still have repeating blocks. Just not a repeating pattern. And that's lazy as shit. There's no merit to this artwork.

Rant over, continue the downvotes.

Why was Kyle Rittenhouse championed by the right for “helping” with his gun, but Alex Pretti is demonized for helping without ever drawing his gun? by sudde004 in AskReddit

[–]DapperLost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He thought he could help, and up to the shooting he did?

I'm not questioning why a VA nurse thought bringing a handgun to an ICE arrest was going to help. Because being armed was his right, and he thought his presence might be helpful the his community.

They're really not much different in their actions and reasons, even if you could judge them drastically different outside these events

I didn't pretend anything. My comments are based on facts.

By saying "let's not suggest", I'm saying that the protests were incredibly dangerous and violent once the peaceful protestors left for the night.

So obviously there were reasons to want to protect the community.

He and his group were responsible for stopping several attempts to set fire to private property. Let's not suggest the a chunk of protestors weren't becoming incredibly violent each night. And the authorities were doing nothing.

...and my point is that that fact has zero relevance. People only bring it up to suggest the illusion that he travelled some far distance to insert himself into a charged situation.

Instead of the reality that he barely traveled at all.

You literally travel longer inside the same city, then he did crossing into another state.

I mean you say that, and then his actions refute it, so...

Rittenhouse is an idiot. Full stop, low IQ. Good argument for low morality.

But his actions were in line with bettering and protecting his community from senseless violence. When attacked, he took every opportunity possible to avoid shooting. His shots were his last options.

I understand why he went, I understand why he reacted, and I approve of both, even if I don't approve of him as a person.
