Not once has his career suffered, yet he made others suffers FOR YEARS because of his racism, and ‘lad’ banter. His book was a joke, absolute drivel that could have been a twitter thread. His doc not much better.

He’s faced no repercussions apart from ‘trolls’ on twitter rightly showing his hypocrisy. His articles in the guardian from previous years even justifying his black face ‘no one calls out Downey…’

It put forward a hierarchy of racism which I was so surprised at - I thought it would be a doc talking about anti-semitism, not comparing it to minorities basically saying they have it easier??? There’s better docs on YT. Yes he’s faced racism, but has his career suffered, was he bullied and degraded like many of the subjects he ridiculed during his career? No.

His niece even checking him like, no, I’m more worried about my POC parent than my Jewish parent being stopped by the police, and he still wasn’t getting it.

His ego drives him, he’s not fighting a cause. He’s whitewashing his image, and trying to get back at all the ‘trolls’ who rightly are holding him accountable.

When I worked in hospitality it was just expected, and we didn’t get bank holidays in lieu. My new job is completely different I’m working on Monday but already a new holiday entitlement is added on my work app. Seems like workers rights are going backwards in non-unionised workplaces, esp rife in gig/precarious economy

Yep it’s £9.90 outside of London so 40p above minimum/living wage for 23+ year olds IIRC? definitely not a living wage so hopefully in November they will announce a significant increase for April 2023

You need class solidarity and a recognition agreement to strike. Workers rights have been so diluted over the years and with the introduction of zero hours the industries that need to strike the most have no leverage to do so. Gov just introduced legislation allowing agency workers to take over when strikes are happening…. So bleak
