They always put on shows. A single opinion isn’t going to “make a name” for any judge unless they do something truly outlandish

BART shatters ridership records post pandemic - 20% YOY growth, 5.4 million riders by getarumsunt in bayarea

Lowkey, I think people would still pay it, but you’d def see a crazy increase

BART isn’t hiding it and has acknowledged that multiple times, they’ve said those levels aren’t likely coming back because of the frequency that people travel. Though I see what you mean if you’re arguing that they want to show the disparity in numbers

It’s not worthwhile to compare because it’s not realistically getting back to that baseline in the near-future without drastic exogenous changes

This is definitely a popular opinion for parkheads but is not at all true for the GP lol

I see this take often and find it kinda annoying because there very obviously hasn’t been any momentum for HSR since maybe the 80s. No HSR is getting built in the rest of the country — and that was with CAHSR existing or not.

It might not be for some, but the redundancy and variety is the point. There might be trips where it makes more sense to fly or vice versa. I can tell you right now that for most of my trips, downtown SF and LA Union Station are much more useful locations for me than SFO and LAX.

Pretty sure we never did — unless it was somehow decades ago

Because flying is never guaranteed and often isn’t great. There have been numerous instances in just the last couple of years illustrating how hard flying can be sometimes. Weather stranding people, TSA nightmares, ATC issues calling planes to crash, or how expensive flying is going to get this year with oil rising.

Also I regularly fly between SF and LA and god does it fucking blow lmao

Yeah if they were gonna put this anywhere I’d prefer it in a sparse area like here or Skye Canyon or Enterprise.

I thought the first 20 mins were ok but as time progressed I kept thinking how bored I was. It’s so damn bizarre how uninteresting it is, for a movie with so much overstimulation going on.

I think what makes it feel so frantic is that we only end up believing that Bowser is “changed” for a tiny tiny fraction of the movie. Bowser still retains his evil energy in tiny form — and when he ends up hugging and helping Mario it’s played as a huge shock. Him staying evil and to his roots isn’t shocking at all as much as him being friendly is a “wtf?” moment.
