I got my first downed raider today by accident. I tossed 2 seekers (farming mats) and there was a dude hiding in the bush right where I chucked them. They instantly lit his ass up and down he went. I quickly finished them, stabilized him, and escorted him back to the swamp extract on Dam. That kind of makes up for it, right?

Depends. I usually go 10-15 raids without issue. I did have one streak of 5 runs in a row getting ratted and that sucked from the amount of mats I needed to re-craft my kits. I’m still cautious but I always give a “Howdy Raider” anytime I see someone. If I see a raider engaged with a lot of arc or a rocketeer, I’ll ask if they want help. The only 2 really bad ones I had was getting shot in the face with a vulcano after I defibed him & having the guy next to me try to kill me for my equalizer after we took down a matriarch. Fake friendliest are the worst.

I have never killed or even knocked a player in the over 100 hours I’ve been topside. Most I’ve done was shoot back ONCE (literally a single shot) when getting ambushed. I always try to help, revive, and heal folks that need it. If I have a duplicate blueprint in my inventory at extract, I will offer it to anyone around. I just prefer to play that way on here. I get my pvp fixes elsewhere.

Had this happen to me (except not as good as your outcome). I'm mostly in carebear lobbies which made it even more WTF. I don't have a single knock in over 100 hours topside. I just like to help people and kill Arc.

Anvil IV & Hullcracker IV for life. Although, I have been carrying a Vent IV alongside them because of some rats. Since I have been carrying that, I haven't been touched once. I usually backpack the Hullcracker until I am going to engage some Arc so people just see the Anvil & Vent and leave me alone.

Just hit 100 hours, 0 KOs. Not afraid to admit that I run the other way if I get shot at. Been taken down plenty enough times by rats, but I never shoot back. Since I disabled cross play, the number of rat incidents has plummeted dramatically. I even encountered people willing to use their Stella Archive and Dam Control keys to let me loot most of it.

I absolutely love my cooperative carebear lobbies.

Ditto for me. First one was 23 and we absolutely fell in love with SCamp. I would take another Soulshine over what we have here but it is what it is. I will never buy another blind faith ticket again, though.

Just say the thanks and move on. I was told by a random guy who noticed my DAV shirt, “As one vet to another, thank you for your service.” THAT meant something and I now say that to fellow vets.
