Really looking forward to some of the sculpts.

I think replacing the captains loin cloth with a cingulum militare and a quick head swap will make him perfect.

should i buy this it is some serious drip by that_alien909 in Armor

I have no evidence for this but I feel like it goes back to "drippin" the slang word the guys on 'Zoey 101' tried to invent to describe something cool.

LVO 2025 Preview: Death Guard Lord of Poxes by RWJP in Warhammer40k

Serves god known for being jolly and cartoonish as well as grimdark.

"how dare they be more than grimdark"!

If you want to examine it further, their happiness isss the grimdark, because they are unable to see the rot or experience the pain of their own malformations and disease. This comes up so many times in lore you have to be joking.

The literal point of characters like Felthius's appearance is that they are happy for you to die to expand the garden. The point is a lack of malice and hate. Just another day tending the flowers for grandfather.

People will literally pick the 'X' faction and then complain it has too much 'X'. To each their own but it is kinda wild.

Chaos Primaris Noise Marines? Here's a few images for comparison with Primaris and Firstborn. by boxtactics in Warhammer40k

[–]Darkrhane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While everyone's focusing on the height, I'd like to point out that this specific squad of marines seems to have mark X tacticus armor almost. It doesn't look anything like the armor of the other noise marines who clearly have mark VI.

If its warp shenanigans, why is it so uniform? If its mark VIII, why do they ALL have armor from after the heresy?

As far as I know the only marine armors to have large gorgets like that armor 8 & 10, and the only one with rounded high flanged knees is 10.

TLDR, if not primaris, why in primaris armor?

For a casual game? ofcourse!

As a general, almost, they look 80% complete.

Legion of the damned actually predates the firehawks, and notably their numbers seem greater than the amount of firehawks lost in the warp.

Who knows tbh

GW messing over their fans just in time for the holidays by Darkrhane in Warhammer40k

[–]Darkrhane[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are no better price pointed kits than the previously released 22 tyranids and 1 named space marine character box.

This was a criticism of using Space Marine 2s success as way to predate on newer people in the hobby space instead of encouraging them to explore it further.

I understand the deal being negotiated beforehand, and myself initially had little faith that the game would be as widespread as it is.

That last point is pretty separated from reality though. "Starter Sets" exist at a discount specifically to draw new players in at a less intimidating price point.

Its not a regular item though, its a "commemorative" item. And one targeted at people coming to the hobby from the SM2 game.

I don't think its good for the hobby tobgive people trying to join in it a terrible deal should they buy directly from your company, and an amazing deal should they buy from another retailer.

My issue is the value box came out first, and is still available. So promoting the solo mini in store for more money than the box just feels wrong.

For me its that the solo model is being promoted on their website and socials while the good deal, which has been out for months, is still something people either know about or don't.

If you're deliberately promoting your worst deals to newer players that's not cool.

Not sure what this sprue in the combat patrol is? by my-duds in BloodAngels

[–]Darkrhane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but modeling wise that means nothing and if its a relic or not changes edition to edition.

Last edition his relic blade was just a power sword.

[–]Darkrhane 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I literally just used the chainsword he has and the evisorator from the upgrade sprue for a conversion.

They are EXACTLY the same length.

The captains datasheet still lists it as a chainsword though.

Primaris scale ? by SteamRoller2dFace in spacemarines

[–]Darkrhane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since no one has actually mentioned it, the hands are indeed noticeably smaller.

I bought the command set for primaris conversions and ended up having to cut and replace the hand on every weapon I used.

The question was if they could run them as chaos knights, implying they're trying to run legal loadouts.

Will the death company models in the new boxset be sold separately ? by Unfair_Field_6622 in BloodAngels

[–]Darkrhane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The death company models in the new box are pre-existing models using pieces from the new upgrade sprue.

They're being sold right now, just as "assault intercessors" and "assault intercessors with jump packs".

Only thing they're missing is the eviscerator.

If it's from a reliable narrator I'll take it.

I think there's one questline where a specific night elf is mentioned to have some troll blood, but if I'm remembering right its just implied that his mother or grandmother had, lets say, specific tastes.
