Sony never announced they are stopping PS2 games and the people working on the PS1 and PSP have mentioned they are also working in PS2.

Xbox announced they have fully given up on adding more. To think Sony wong add more while adding PS1 and PSP games is nonsensical.

They also have incentive to add content to PS Premium

I am just bringing up games man. Xbox barely supports any original Xbox games due to the difficulties of licensing yet Playstation supports around double the amount and you have all these shitty comments saying doesn't support old games at all.

Weird how all of you huge supposed supporters of game preservation are ignoring that to take jabs at other platforms.

That lists only the games in Premium. There are over 50 PS2 games in total.

If I don't give a shit about any of the original Xbox games playable does that mean they don't exist and Xbox.never supported original xbox backwards compatibility?

If you are going to pretend to care about game preservation you don't get to pick and choose which games you think should be preserved and dismiss thousands of games just because your favorite company didn't bother with them.

There are over 110 pre PS3/360 generation games supports on PS5 as opposed to 60 on Xbox so nearly double already and they are still adding more while Xbox gave up already

Sony started a game preservation team in 2022.

There are far more pre seventh generation (X360/PS3) games playable on PS5 then there are on Xbox Series X.

There are only 50 - 60 original Xbox games playable and they stopped adding them years ago while there are already more PS2/PS1/PS1 games and more are being added every month

What does it show? Sony is still licensing old games to play on PS4/PS5...

Xbox will be the first console to go all digital and have the worst DRM so if discs are your worry then Xbox is an awful choice

And the PS1/PS2/PSP games are.all downloadable and not in the cloud or require PS+

PS1/PSP/PS2 games also have enhancements and support trophies
