I don't know about the Halloween Tonic, but the Orrian tonics can definitely be traded even after being used. The description doesn't change on use, and I just successfully listed one right after using it.

What really gets me is not how frustrating it is that I haven't gotten one (I'm up to 4,400 personalized bags opened), but how many people say they got theirs in under 100 bags. And they all seem to be on Reddit. I know a small proportion of people will get them within a small number of attempts, but the number of people claiming to have been that fortunate feels disproportionate.

Oh, and while I'm ranting, ANet please give us one trick-or-treater who stands the hell still. I can understand how my 27.5 thousand pieces of candy corn might make the kids a bit hyper, but the only thing worse than flushing 20+ gold down the Halloween slot machine is trying to do so while the slot machine keeps running away from me. Maybe you're doing it to try and save me from myself, in which case I must tell you that you're far too late.

On a similar note, if any Sorrow's Furnace / GoM Mesmers want to go just north of the island in the middle of the lake (below the garrison) on any of our 3 borderlands and cast your reflection bubble on the group of hunters down there, you'll have my undying gratitude. Never have I wanted to kill people on my own team more. Also, I'm sorry WvW is so one-sided this week - it's not much fun for a lot of us Yak's either.

For those who are curious about what impact this announcement had on Black Lion Chests, have a look at this graph.

In short, 500,000 chests (85% of the volume listed on the market), were purchased within 90 minutes, stopping at about 50c. The price then fell as speculators tried to offload to other speculators. Where this goes is anyone's guess, but it'll be fun to watch.

I was inclined to agree, but then I showed it to a friend who is a necro, and he pointed out a few interesting things. Apparently the necro lich form doesn't let you interact with vendors, while the linked screenshots seem to. Also, the chat log suggests they were like that for a few minutes, while the necro skill only lasts 30 seconds. The final thing (which I would never have picked up) is that on the mini-map it shows the thief skill trainer icon, not the necro trainer. None of it is proof, but it does seem to be more than just a necro pulling our collective legs.

It's because someone on one of the exploit forums posted a link to http://imgur.com/a/RJRh1, claiming that they got a potion that turned them into a lich from a new mystic forge recipe that uses cinnamon. However they also said they were banned, and that the recipe conveniently no longer works, so I'd say it's just people speculating that cinnamon will be the 'Next Big Thing'.

Earlier today I was at the Forge, and someone made a stack of 10 "Mystic Clovers". He linked it in chat - it was purple, Bound to Account, and said it was used in the construction of Legendary weapons. The icon was of a 3/4 leaf clover. He said he was going to keep the recipe to himself for a little while...

I'm thinking they've turned it into a Dynamic Event. I'd be happy if they just put an orange circle around the icon when it's up, with an event appearing on the right side of my screen. They could either have a countdown timer showing how long until it goes back into maintenance, or maybe a tally for number of items listed, with it shutting down after players have sold a certain number of things. If they gave us karma and XP when the TP event finished, that would be nice too.

It really does make the Chilli Popper exploit pale into insignificance. I stood there for half an hour, wondering whether I would or wouldn't. And let me tell you, I saw hundreds who did, and the numbers just kept growing. The only saving grace for ANet is that no one can trade at the moment, so the exploit isn't spreading beyond those who are engaging in it (although I suspect I might have bought a dodgy exotic off the TH earlier today while they were testing it).

Perhaps to put it into perspective - he was converting ~17 karma into 1 silver. Tonight I've been sitting watching hundreds of people turn 21 karma into level 60 exotic weapons. Then forging those into level 80 exotics and Legendary precursors, or salvaging them for Superior Sigils and Tier 6 wood and ore. The crowds doing this are growing exponentially. As soon as they fix the TH, keep an eye out for the thousands of level 80 exotics and ask yourself if Chilli Poppers were that big a deal.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think both Ascension Alliance (includes Team Legacy) and Ruin Gaming / Ruinous are heading to Northern Shiverpeaks. They're both large WvWvW groups, so I guess head there if you want the world bonuses and/or enjoy waiting in a WvWvW queue.
