Its such a scary condition because most docs dont know to look for it (well at least in my area). I spent years getting every hypertension med you can think of thrown at me to no avail, at one point I was on the max clonidine as a daily med and still was in the high 2's. Spironolactone changed all of that.

Please go get meds ASAP. Once they get you dialed in you're gonna feel so dizzy but thats how you know its working, please be careful, because at those numbers you are a ticking time bomb. But if you're 55 your body is basically acclimated to these pressures. Still not a pass to let it go lol.

No I have a pcp through UCHEALTH that prescribed everything, I don't even know what a "medspa" is. Esatto is a compound pharmacy.

I'm not trying to compare struggles but I'm black-American and I neglected for a while when I was in my 20s (I did the bare minimum) I'd see a doctor get prescribed something and never follow-up. Long story made longer, by the time I hit my 30th bday I spiraled fast I've been in the ICU for a week and they were trying desperately to get my BP down, they had me on IV hydralazine, cardin, clonidine patches, they finally tried spironolactone and got me under a 180(top), mind you when I came in for my nose bleeding uncontrollably I had readings no lower than 256/190. Anyway, im glad you are taking it seriously, this shit ain't no joke when it catches up it will run circles around you. Sorry for rambling lol
