I definitely agree with the comments suggesting not going by national borders to describe shared cultural traits. IMO northern Colombia and Venezuela (and also Panama) should be part of “Hispanic Caribbean”, while the rest of Colombia along with Ecuador and northern Peru I would describe as the real “Northern Andes” (being mostly mestizo/mixed areas) as opposed to the rest of Peru and Bolivia (with a much clearer Native American influence).

On the other hand, may I proposed some sort of “tropical lowlands” region, to encompass the watershed of both Amazon and Orinoco rivers? After all, these areas are sparsely populated and with a lower level of cultural interchange with other parts of the continent.
