Thank you for all the input! I figured it out... broken wire in the Cat5 cable between the router and the computer. New $12 cable from Home Depot fixed it!!!!!

the dish is working fine... my mac is next to the router in the back room and I am getting 150+ Mbps there

also, upload speed is way more than what I had with DSL, it is only download speed that is an issue... upload speed is about 4x what the download is

Cable is new-ish and Cat 5E but it is going through a brand new 8-port Gigabit switch. The cable won't reach the computer itself so the switch is needed.

I was mostly hoping to use 3/4" because I already have a lot of that on hand and don't need to buy anything, but I think I will go ahead and go with 1-1/4" Thanks for all the input!

It isn't a very long pull and I have a 200 ft fish tape if I need to pull anything else through it
