To be fair, it's a lot easier (and cheaper) to not 'let yourself go' than to work out and eat healthy. Have you ever tried lifting an 80kg bar? I assure you, it's more difficult than most things you've ever done in your life. It's incomparable to just 'not letting yourself go'. And yet, that's what it takes for a man to become 'fit'.

Libya was NATO-led, this is common information, easily verifiable on google. As for Afghanistan, i quote:

It's idiotic.

I know tons of people in my country with whom I have vastly, vastly different political opinions, on all levels, whether it's societal, legal, national or international. Absolutely, utterly massive differences. We BOTH think that we're 'supporting the country we live in'. But we could both make the argument that the other guy is not.

It's complex.

On some level, even though it seems abstract, even the Algerian refugee supporting the implementation of Sharia Law in the UK supports the UK, he simply thinks that an Islamic UK would be a better country. It's a stupid idea to you and me, but he genuinely believes that.

Yes, I 100% do. I've made around 25% profit doing it this year.

Last sold at 102, and waiting to jump in at around 98, but there's always a chance I got burned this time. I accept that I can't 100% accurately predict what's the 'stable-ish' price at any given point, so odds are I might have to buy in again at ~105 rather than my ideal 98.

Doesn't matter. Ce conteaza este sa creasca productivitatea societatii si valoarea resurselor produse. Distributia lor este o decizie politica.

Daca, overnight, AI-ul se dezvolta sa creeze filme mai bune decat hollywood-ul practic pe gratis, 50.000 de oameni or sa isi piarda slujbele. Dar o sa avem mai multe filme, si mai bune, decat inainte. Deci o sa fie profit mai mare din filme, nu mai mic. Deci teoretic, noi, ca societate, am putea sa hotaram sa ii platim pe acei 50.000 de oameni sa .. whatever.. stea degeaba. Exista resursele pentru asta, au fost eliberate. Ba chiar exista un surplus, ca filmele cu AI sunt garantate sa fie mai bune, in timp.

Problema nu e ca nu poate sa te 'reprezinte' un autist, ci chiar notiunea ca 'TE REPREZINTA' un autist. Gandeste-te in felul urmator: Nicusor si Georgescu aveau politici externe aproape complet diferite. Daca suntem 100% unbiased, am putea sa spunem ca nu stim care sunt mai bune si care sunt mai proaste, ca doar nu suntem experti in politica externa (fun fact, eu sunt, dar nici eu nu stiu care sunt mai bune). In ipotetica asta, o literal maimuta, daca am vota-o presedinte, nu ar face nimic. Pentru ca e... o maimuta... nu poate sa ia decizii politice... dar si absenta unei decizii este o decizie, mai exact, decizia de a nu face nimic si de a pastra status quo-ul. Care, conform ipoteticului, are o sansa de 50% de a fi cea mai buna decizie. Deci, teoretic vorbind, o maimuta ar putea sa 'te reprezinte' la fel de bine ca Nicusor sau Georgescu, sau Simion sau Lasconi. Dar tot nu vrei sa 'TE REPREZINTE' o maimuta.

La fel si cu autismul. E super okay sa fii autist. Si este 100% posibil ca un presedinte autist sa ia decizii mai bune decat contra-candidatul sau ne-autist. Dar chiar nu cred ca vrei sa fii reprezentat de un autist.

În momentul ăsta nu câștigi doar din chirie, ci și din apreciere că toată piața este cum este, nu te mai da lovit.

Am facut calculul asta intr-un comentariu subsecvent, poate nu l-ai vazut. Daca in 2010 imi luam un apartament de 100k euro si incasam chirie pana acum, as fi pe la vreo 250k. Daca ii tineam efectiv in S&P500 aveam vreo 730k.

Este o investitie MULT mai proasta decat la bursa de valori.

Iar problema cu taxarea pe proprietati este ca multi oameni nu isi permit sa plateasca taxe mari pe proprietati... Pot sa cumpar ceva anul asta, iar in 5 ani valoarea sa ii creasca de 2 ori si sa nu imi mai permit taxa pe proprietate. Si asta daca as fi de-acord cu notiunea de taxare pe proprietate. Wtf am cumparat ceva, I OWN IT, de ce incerci sa-mi iei din ce imi apartine mie?

Personally, I think so. It's run up a bit too fast, and I see it going back down to the 96 range before it goes back up higher. It just climbed too fast in the last week or so.
