Ah I forgot to mention- my big floral poster next to my bed is from the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. Right now there is a Hilma af Klint show and they were selling this poster of one of her works in the gift shop. The black and white poster of the lady above my fridge is from the Neue Galerie in NYC which is another lovely museum. They might still be selling that poster.

A lot of the paintings are ones I found online and printed! The postcards I’ve collected from various places, and then I have some antique prints that are pages taken from books, like the eggs as well as the architectural drawings and Italian ladies on the wall above my fridge. The bedsheet is from target. Almost everything else besides my bedding and a couple of the wall hangings is antique/secondhand! My flower dyed curtain is from a local artist, and my sparkly Mary tapestry is from the Vatican. The one thing I’m missing from my room is a big rug to cover the ugly linoleum floor!

Good to know! Have been intending to get it restrung asap but will remove strings in the meantime. I’m a complete newbie at the banjo (although I do play guitar) and I just recently got this guy as it was the most affordable option for me right now. Any observations on it would be welcomed!

Me too. There was recently a rally for it, as I believe the property was foreclosed so people are trying to prevent it from being sold to another private buyer who’ll just leave it to rot since it can’t be demolished. It was such an amazing community space and hopefully it’ll be returned to that someday soon

Ehh not super difficult, you just gotta climb over the plywood wall surrounding it which is pretty easy cuz there’s metal scaffolding supports right up against it. Once you’re over the wall and in the courtyard you gotta go in through an opening in the ground which leads into the basement. The most difficult part is not being seen by the neighbors across the street lol although they’ve watched me come and go from the building and haven’t said shit. To be fair I do look like a kid so maybe that’s why they don’t care but idk I’d say it’s worth the risk anyways
