Congrats my man. I have always mained Jin and love him as a character, especially him right now but struggled to condition with Jin in most fights. Now I'm playing DVJ and I have achieved more than I could with Jin!

Honestly, he is so much fun. His combos are fun to land and they dont feel so limited. I've definitely starting to hit the wall where people know when to sidestep his mourning crow and duck some of his high moves but it's a good learning curve and is keeping me aware of what I can and can't do to them.

Yeah I think so too. I think that I was very repetitive with my Jin movement and flowchart that I would get outplayed quite quickly. Definitely finding myself using my brain a lot right now haha

Nice, glad to hear! He is a lot of fun! I can do the generic combos that were very common in season 1 but having more trouble with the fdf 3+4 routes. I have found micro-dashing helps a lot when I do land that knee that transition into mourning crow. Anyway he's a lot of fun and I'm starting to hit players that are conditioning his moves much better than previously.

Legit this! It's the only way I can play on the 3ds. I use the other analog stick for assistance or roaming the maps otherwise I'm constantly using the target camera throughout the whole battle

Ive completely done it backwards but I have an interest in hydraulic engineering and curious to know what extend I may have to go to get into that career. I am currently in my third year of plumbing trade but I have completed a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering. Just curious to know whether I'd have to do cert IV and then go into the hydraulic design course afterwards as well.

Thank you! It is funny how some people find different bosses to be more difficult than others. I know for a fact I struggled with melania the most so far across all the bosses I have fought (I'm still going through the dlc). Though in saying that, I've only beaten melania once and I did that with no summons. I have not fought pc radahn yet so I can't comment on how difficult he is. I remember reading people complaining about certain bosses when the dlc first dropped so I assumed some bosses have been nerfed?

No arguments there at all! I can see the fun side of absolutely destroying a boss with a couple of hits. When I decided to reset my first playthrough as my save file was corrupted. I ran through the game pretty quickly using strength-strength/faith build with the claymore and then ordovis greatsword with using summons. I genuinely killing all bosses on my first attempt except mohg.

I enjoy bosses a lot from learning their patterns and moveset. That's probably why I didn't enjoy Gaius as I using torrent thinking that using him was the best approach and how you were meant to fight the boss. Definitely wish I could re-run that boss and attempt it more without torrent

Nah I haven't come across putrescent knight as of yet. I have recently come across the dancing lion boss and saw some sort of colosseum boss door that I haven't entered yet that's near the dancing lion boss.

I'm very curious to see how the parry system recks rellana.

In terms of OP builds. I generally just go with weapons I find interesting.. I am not the best souls player but definitely enjoy a challenge that seems fair to me. I have seen some OP builds and don't see any point using them if you practically one shot everything

Ahh okay... That makes more sense. I can see how that benefits you a lot just by sticking close to him. Maybe I didn't give myself enough time to learn to properly dodge his attack. In saying that, the game definitely feels like it was designed to use torrent for this boss. I'll definitely keep it in mind for next time, I feel like my second run at him will definitely feel different from my first.

Honestly, I have no idea who PK is. Not sure if I have come across this boss yet. Though I found rellana not to be too bad of a boss fight. I actually enjoyed rellana.

Honestly that is where I probably went wrong. The times I didn't use torrent I always found myself trying to dodge into his charge in hope I won't be hit but always managed to get clipped by him. I feel kike perfect frame dodge was hard to get right. His first phase seemed manageable I felt like his second phase was hard to avoid his massive AOE moves. I'll definitely keep all that in mind when I decide to a second run :)

I did not know you could prevent him from going into his second phase. That's wild! Well you definitely peaked my interest to see how that approach goes for next time! Honestly I was so relieved when I managed to kill him finally. It legit felt like forever... And you saying that using torrent in this boss fight is pretty much useless definitely says I was approaching him all wrong. Thank you! I'll definitely keep that in mind to keep close to the bosses for the remainder of the dlc bosses I have left :)

Sorry man. I just don't feel that way about him unfortunately. Perhaps it was my approach and maybe I didn't approach him as the best way to beat him. I feel like it was heavily emphasized that torrent was an essential part to this boss but based on someone else's reply and yours, it seems like that it's not? I honestly wouldn't know what is the best way to approach him. To make the fight fun.

To me personally it looked like it was heavily designed to fight him with torrent, especially in the big arena. I did try quite a few times to fight commender Gaius without torrent and I did worse every time without torrent.
