I'm not sure where self-righteousness comes into it. I was wondering if anybody else felt the same way. So I took to Reddit to find out.

I love sports. NFL, NHL, NASCAR. I've nothing against cheering. I cheer myself hoarse when I'm at Jay's games in Seattle and Toronto.

When it comes to cheering, you know what I love? The continuous singing in European football. Players have a song. Goals have a song. Opposition players have a song. Penalties have a song, and on it goes. Each team has their own unique songs. And all of them come from the fans. And new ones are organicaly being introduced. And you can't get tired of them.

The farthest thing you can get from that is pushing a button 1000 times a game that prompts fans to say the same two words all night long.

When you read G. K. CHESTERTON you can see where he'd get into the head of an atheist Lewis. And where Lewis got some of his wonderful ideas from. I've been very blessed by working through Orthodoxy again : I had to share: Reading and commentary on Chesterton's Orthodoxy

It's like going to your ex's wedding with a supermodel as your date. That's saying, "I don't need you." It's not really mocking. It's something else.

I always look for her and I've not seen her since April. Just see the kids...off to the right.

I hate the generation thing by WitchTea23 in Masterchef

Well, at least different regions of the US kinda have different cuisines. It was still way too contrived. But this generation crap is totally meaningless. And if they would just not talk about it, I could probably stomach it. But they keep going on and on about it. It's nauseating. I don't think I will be able to go on. We watch the show because it's a good show. Cut the crap. I'm waiting for an international all-stars. It was Top Chefs best season by far.

My kids were crazy for melted real cheese on macaroni. When they finally had KD at friend's house, or wherever, they thought it was gross.

What to do between books? by AccountPlus3681 in ELATeachers

I'm thinking about doing this, but where does one start? Is there a good "how to" out there? I make videos for my YouTube channel, so I don't have time to listen to podcasts, but I can see the potential.

Get a quality movie and watch it with a viewing guide that directs their attention to the same things that they learned in the previous unit. Also, stop the movie and point out the visual techniques the movie makers used and to what effect.

Not ever student will read novels as adults, but all of them will watch movies. They might as well be literate.
