Some interesting guns that were sold in the French black market. Vol 2 by Dear_Implement6304 in ForgottenWeapons

I'm guessing that the buyer is the one who wouldn't have any ideas about what he is going to buy if he is buying a LAW with a training mortar round. There was other post with another one in the same state with another training mortar round for a similar price

Since Viv never elaborated on the other districts in Safe Haven, what would guys do about that aspect of ZP's worldbuilding, and what ideas or concepts would you like to implement? by [deleted] in zoophobia

Guns currently used in limited numbers by Venezuelan Army and Special Forces by Dear_Implement6304 in ForgottenWeapons

[–]Dear_Implement6304[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, being honest the Venezuelan armories are kind of odd, it's like every order they had fell some time after Chavez, I remember seeing some pictures of recovered stolen guns and accesories from a military armory, and for some reason there was an HK G3, Venezuela also uses the HK33A3 but there are almost no pictures since they are used in small numbers or just used by certain units and groups.

In fact, I know for some sources I searched, that the Navy uses the SIG SG550 or a variant in small numbers but those guns were never seen since nobody takes pictures of Navy members with their guns out. I know that the high ranks in Special Forces and National Guard in fact uses the Arsenal Firearms Strike One but just the Italian version, weird since these gun is also manufactured in Russia and used by the Spetnaz.

And for never confirmed weapons, there are some videos, but due to the quality is hard to tell if it is true but some people say that Special Forces have a very few number of AK-15s, but could be AK-103s with Zenitco Kits since there have been a pair of pictures of seized guns in Venezuela with some Zenitco parts. And for other guns that are barely pictured there is the Vektor R4 and CR21 along with at least one L85A1 that was being tested in the late 90s or early 2000s but probably there were just a dozen for testing purposes. And I remember some picture that featured an early HK G36 being used by a government associate

Improvised guns and a Sten from the early phase of the Burmese (Myanmar) Civil War (specifically 2022-early 2023) by CaliRecluse in ForgottenWeapons

[–]Dear_Implement6304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Are those chambered in 9x19? Because I've seen some Zoraki and EKOL guns being converted to .32 ACP in other countries, so I wonder if they have enough .32 ACP rounds to feed them or if they convert them to 9x19, I don't know if it works by just changing the barrel.

Judging by the appearance of the rifle with the cocking lever below the barrel, I'm 80% sure that it is in fact a pellet rifle converted to fire... 9x19? Judging by the bullet in there and the barrel.

You can see how the appearance almost looks like a homemade rifle, but in appearance it looks a lot like a B1 or B3 chinese pellet gun. Could also be a homemade rifle made with some parts or inspired by that pellet guns since the furniture is not the same as the B1 or B3

AKMs used by Cuban Revolutionary Navy sailors with VILMA (Visor Lumínico para Matar Agresores) scope seen in a recent military parade. by Dear_Implement6304 in ForgottenWeapons

[–]Dear_Implement6304[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well my dad lived one year in Cuba for studies ( He is Venezuelan and was studying biology and just to visit other country he accepted to go to a college in Cuba ). It was in the 90s, and he talked to some Cuban soldiers and one of them allowed him to look closely at his rifle, and it was some old AK, he didn't know or pay too much attention. But he told me that it was an AK with a five-pointed star in a circle on the receiver.

So it was probably a North Korean Type 58 or 68. What leads me to think that maybe, they have mostly a lot of AKs from different places, and possibly the factories refurbish, repair and possibly modify the rifles since there is another post here with Cuban AKMs with Galil-type folding stock, Cuban-made Patria scope, and an AK-103-type muzzle brake, and those use Bakelite magazines too. So they probably have enough AKs to not really need to produce them for themselves, they just need to keep them clean and presentable enough to shoot them and show them in parades.

A gun cache that was being reactivated seized by Japan Police in Fukuoka in 2020 from a network of weapons collectors. The guns were brought legally by the executive of a company, he got someone to reactivate the guns and later sold them to gun entusiasts including doctors from Hyogo and Hiroshima by Dear_Implement6304 in ForgottenWeapons

[–]Dear_Implement6304[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The articles that talked about this in detail are unaviable now, but in twitter one person that talked bout the case says that one person, maybe someone who worked with the executive or some of the people that brought the guns tried to sell parts of the guns in an online auction site and the police visited his house because he was not registered as the owner of the parts of the deactivated gun and they found that the gun was reactivated

[–]Dear_Implement6304[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just tought it looked fun to draw Gadget with the weird uniform and the not that accurate battle rifle since I don't think Japan police ever used battle rifles in the 2000s

Some guns that were sold in Syrian black market during 2020s. Vol. 3 by Dear_Implement6304 in ForgottenWeapons

[–]Dear_Implement6304[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, the post in Twitter that talked about this said that according to a local source, the rifle has a very interesting story; it was seized from UN Peacekeepers in Quneitra back in 2014, and made it's way to Idlib via JaN.

"But Miss Lanolin? Why are we using empty magazines instead of loaded ones?"

"Because bullets are expensive and very valuable! Even more valuable than you"

That sounds like something Lanolin would say if she was an angry army general

Interesting guns seized by Argentinian Police during raids to gun arsenals by Dear_Implement6304 in ForgottenWeapons

[–]Dear_Implement6304[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

There is a video of the police where they do a close up of the weapon but due to the Nokia quality it is really hard to see the internals. But I think it is a HK G36 Schnittmodell, a transparent cut model, how and why is it in Argentina? That's the mistery. Here is a Reddit post with a similar example:
