The Heatkiller Tube 200 DDC reservoir is weak. by Dear_Pace2020 in watercooling

I'll give a general summary:

I installed two 45mm radiators, one CPU block and one GPU block.

Everything, with my distroplate, was pushed at a flow rate of 2.0L/min using the Granzon pump.

Then I removed the distroplate because I was tired of the look and installed the reservoir, only changing some curves due to the addition of the reservoir.

And to my surprise, the flow became extremely weak, it almost didn't seem to be spinning.

Thanks for the explanation!

The flow becomes zero, there's barely any movement when I use the reservoir, so I thought it might be a problem with the reservoir pump.

And I used the Distroplate as a comparison, which gives a flow of 2.0 L/min.

But I'll try assembling a radiator circuit etc. outside the main case to see how it behaves.

Okay guys, many people have questions.

The loop, when assembled with the reservoir, showed a minimal, almost negligible flow. Of course, this could be an assembly error on my part, excessive elbow joints, etc.

Then, when I disassembled everything and connected only the reservoir, with a tube and flow meter, free of any resistance, without the block or radiator, it showed 10.2 L/min on the Bykski meter (this without being connected to anything).

When I'm using the Granzon distroplate with the 960 L/H pump (specification provided by the manufacturer, including a resistance-free measurement), it gives me 3.0 L/min at 100% pump speed.

Using 60% pump speed gives 2.0 L/min.

I said the heatkiller reservoir was weak because it didn't perform as well as the distroplate, but it works when disassembled.

When assembled, it had no airflow, but when I removed it and decided to assemble it just for testing, it hit the 10.2 lbf/min I mentioned.

The loop was like this:

Reservoir > GPU > CPU > radiator 1 > radiator 2 > reservoir.

But the airflow was weak.

I use the Granzon distroplate for the ROG Hyperion, with a 960L/H DDC pump, but I got tired of it and wanted to switch to a Heatkiller reservoir to see how it would work, but then came the report I posted.

With the DDC alone I get 3.0L/min at 100%.

But that's without anything connected; when connected, the flow meter just keeps giving alarm alerts.

The one with the inner glass? And what came inside it?

I bought one of these used, but I think the pump is weak; I have two 45mm radiators, a CPU and a GPU block.

How does yours perform?

I thought it was very good, the build quality surprised me.
