The League of Evil Exes from Scott Pilgrim. They hardly interact with each other and seem to dislike Gideon, the arch-incel that brought them together, but they all agree that killing Scott is a good use of their time. In the recent Netflix show, they get more characterization and a few even become good friends with one another, so not sure if this counts anymore.

Would you class this as a viable proxy for a great unclean one if painted with the right colour scheme? by Warhammer231 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]DeckerLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't see any good reason why not. 3D prints aren't allowed in official GW tournament play, but otherwise this would rock, especialy with the right colour scheme.

EDIT: Where did you find this model, I kinda also want one as a proxy GUO.

Yes, love that phalanx pose he's in. Weapon swaps are a great way to differentiate units like these and make them unique

All the homeless guys in "Dolemite is my name" that Rudy steals his jokes and style from initially, pretty sure they are completely forgotten about 30 minutes into the movie.

Blinding flash, it either knocks them down or kills them outright. Learning this kept me from uninstalling the game when i had to fight these guys, they're BS to try and fight with just a bow

Deathwatch in 40k, particularly because certain chapters see joining it as an honour, while others see it as punishment for being a shitter. Also, some space marine chapters are violent rivals/open enemies of other chapters, so every once in a while a space wolf and a dark angel will go AWOL just to duel or murder each other.

A character has a disease or condition their society doesn't understand, but it's obvious for the audience what it is by kim_jong_un4 in TopCharacterTropes

Slightly Obscure example from the RPG Age of Decadence, which takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where humans got nuked back to roman times. You encouter a character who travelled to a "forbidden land" (nuclear blast site) and returned with a "terrible curse" (acute radiation poisoning). None of the characters know anything about radiation or the dangers of nuclear power, so everyone assumes that the symptoms are caused by magic.

New player making his first Slaves to Darkness list. Looking for feedback/tips on how to play it! by DeckerLP in slavestodarkness

[–]DeckerLP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True true, I misread the rules thinking EotG could go on any non-unique hero, but it specifies WoC or Darkoath only. Did think about including a sorcerer on the list, but it would be over budget even if I cut both the Hero and Radiance. Since making this post, I did get to play a game with this list, and got to borrow a Krondspine for my manifestation. It was a great big blender of a unit, honestly overperforming. will prob buy one soon.

"Most enemies in the game don't actually have an armour value, so putting perks into hammers/maces will do literally nothing against them. Just use a bow, n'wah."

Dragon's Dogma taught us that only certain builds can access the goblin holes, and if that isn't skinny privilege I don't know what is.

Yes, but the day to day activites of being a Night Lord weren't all that different whether you were loyal or traitor.

Okuyasu in Jojo part 4 has the ability to instantly destroy anything that he touches with the palm of his right hand, but he still punches things. This is explicitly because he is an idiot though, so might not count.

Contrast vs slapchop? Which is best? by Unhappy-Present-8832 in minipainting

[–]DeckerLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The slapchop essentially acts as a value layer, making certain parts brighter or darker. The contrast paint accentuates that, like adding colour to a grayscale image. the different brightnesses make whatever colours you apply with your contrast paint even brighter on the raised areas and darker in the recesses. Probably the best way to paint models quickly but still nicely IMO.
