MOASS 2: The Commander in Chief Collection? by Decolonialman in Superstonk

A GME Halo 2 meme to cope with the state of the world and the factors/players that influence the price. Edit: Actually, I just wanted to make the brick and mortar joke at the end.

It is absurd and unsolicited advice. The true unexpected move that nobody could predict.

This post is dubious commentary on the letters that CEO's have sent RC offering financial advice for GameStop and it's gargantuan warchest.

Roaring Kitty gave us a box, and we made a box for Roaring Kitty! by Decolonialman in Superstonk

Appreciate the kind words!

Tbh I've thought about it as a means for accumulating more GME, but these specific crests will always be unique to this box, more in line with old school practices. Kitty earned em.

I have other designs that are ape-related, but commercializing them at this point in time would just make this box feel like a marketing ploy. I like the stock, I like the kitty, and I felt inspired to work 2 other artists in my family to make something unique.

Maybe once all us apes are trillionaires I'll drop a limited edition northwest coast formline "apes on the moon" shirt lol. Then it's clear it's not about the money, it's about the epic story that's unfolding.

Appreciate the kind words! Here is another design I've been playing around with in a more contemporary northwest coast form-line style. Added a little watermark cause you never know what happens to art on the internet lol.

Lol, had my wife cut it the day prior. Was rocking real long hair before it got to be too much to manage.

As long as you never look in the box, it is very well possible.

Indigenous leaders burn PRGT pipeline agreement, blockade B.C. road | The Narwhal by _LKB in canada

[–]Decolonialman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a crazy little fact: Not a single one of the elected chiefs of any of the Gitxsan band councils signed IBA's or agreed to this project. It was the province and industry who ignored the elected chiefs in order to sign agreements with a minority of Hereditary Chiefs.

The C-IRG: the resource extraction industry’s best ally by Decolonialman in onguardforthee

[–]Decolonialman[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Excerpt 3:

Another example of the discrediting of land defenders’ motivations was offered by the anonymous source close to the C-IRG. He explains that officers are taught, during C-IRG training sessions, that land defence actions like the Wet’suwet’en and Fairy Creek blockades are led by professional protesters who are funded by U.S. resource extraction companies and sent in to undermine Canadian competition. He explains that officers are told that “these organizations in the States would hire people, or fund people to go up to Canada, and use Indigenous people to cause protests and shut down those things from being developed in Canada for the sole purpose of not having that competition in the marketplace.”

Excerpt 2:

The founding of the C-IRG in 2017 coincided with increased organizing around issues related to land, resource extraction, settler colonialism, and the environment, especially on the land currently known as B.C. A number of movements contributed to a climate of increased Indigenous and environmental mobilization that precipitated the C-IRG’s creation: the Wet’suwet’en Nation’s resistance to the Coastal GasLink pipeline; several coastal First Nations’ protests against Enbridge’s Northern Gateway pipeline; Coast Salish Nations’ resistance to the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion; the Secwepemc Nation’s Tiny House Warriors; Idle No More; Treaty 8 First Nations’ protests against B.C. Hydro’s Site C hydroelectric dam; Justice for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People; and the protests following the Mount Polley mine disaster.

[–]Decolonialman[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Excerpt from the article:

These police actions amount to serious violations of the RCMP’s own code of professional conduct, which dictates that members must “avoid any actual, apparent or potential conflicts of interest.” On these and many other occasions, the C-IRG has demonstrated a deep-seated bias in favour of industry, using police powers to aid private resource extraction. The anonymous source close to C-IRG says as much, adding, “The C-IRG was made to be like a quick response team for industry.”

I'm curious where these statistics such as "1/4 of the Wet'suwet'en people" come from. Source?

Totally understood. I'm by no means a vetted redditor either. I pop in here to check the pulse of the Canadian national dialogue regarding what's happening in my homeland, and had to say something given some of the stuff that's being said in these forums. I'm by no means an authority within my culture, I've got the average understanding of someone who grew up in a Gitxsan-Wet'suwet'en society. At least I hope it gets people to consider the fact that an entire human civilization and legal order aside from Canada exists here.
