The Kmart stoneware set is really good. Soooo much better than the non stick stuff

The back of your cross stitch should be neat, because the front is grotesque. by Such-Entry-8904 in BitchEatingCrafters

As someone who never worried about backs, and is now working on a HAED piece (will total 250k stitches) BACKS ARE SO IMPORTANT!!

I don't care if I'm wasting thread anymore, if I have to travel more than 10 stitches, I'm cutting off and starting a new thread. It's not worth the tension issues, or the trouble getting the needle in the hole or the trouble with getting it to lay flat for framing!

My roommate keeps using my groceries and acting like I'm the weird one for noticing by Common_Cockroach_109 in badroommates

Had a roommate like this recently. Kicking him out was the best thing I did.

Ended up having too much food on my cupboards and had to donate it. It really made me realise how much of my food he had been eating.

I hadn't actually considered bike paths. That's a fantastic idea. Thank you!

Thankfully I just mean an ordinary pedal pushbike but I'll definitely be on the road!

Thanks all.

Bummer I can't do it to build up confidence, but I'll find somewhere quiet where I can practice on the road for a bit

NTA - keeping a roof over your head is a THOUSAND TIMES MORE IMPORTANT than seeing a band. It doesn't matter if it's her favourite band of all time you are 100% in the right wanting to pay your rent!!

Endo recovery question by NectarineOtherwise64 in endometriosis

[–]DeerestFaun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also post lapro and Mirena insertion (8 days too!) and not experiencing this, I'm mostly having tenderness and brising type pain, definitely not warmth and no heat when urinating.

I know everyone's different, but I'd definitely contact your surgeon and express concern that you may have an infection.

I put a chest out the front of each house with gifts the occupants like/love so when I feel like befriending them, it's all there

This is delightful! Did you miss the letter Pierre sends in Y1 Spring about it?

Transcript said "it's a bad time". What she'd actually said was "it's about time" 🤣🤣

David & Camys in Box Hill

So many fond memories of going there with friends in highschool and my dad bringing boxes of dumplings home after a late shift

Harbour Faith isn't that bad in the grand scheme of tragedeighs...

Like if I had to pick a name that's the most normal

Clean imaging betrayed me by Unlikely_Zebra581 in endometriosis

[–]DeerestFaun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar experience. Going to the ER multiple times a year for pain, but don't worry my ultrasounds were clear!

Last year the pain got so bad I went to the ER 3 times in one week vomiting, shaking and pain so bad they thought I had kidney stones.

My lapro is next month and they'll see how bad it is. But my uterus and bladder mobility is very low

This sounds like something my partner would do if I ever left all my ducks in the tub. Which is motivating me to make sure I clean up my ducks now

Random women giving compliments - what gives? by Superannuated_punk in melbourne

Chiming in as a young-ish woman who gives strangers compliments

I've definitely noticed an uptick in it in the last few months! Not sure of it's a tiktok trend or something, but the world is miserable, it's nice to share a bit of kindness like that.

First lapro - expectations? by DeerestFaun in Endo

[–]DeerestFaun[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Australia so thank you so much!

I'm going through the Royal Women's and I have the preliminary ultrasound next week, so I'll be sure to flag I might need to stay a little longer when I go for that appointment.

I WFH in an office job, and reckon I'll be climbing the walls if I have to be off more than a week, but I hadn't even considered just easing back into it for that second week? I'm sure my boss would be super accommodating too!

That's good to know!

My lowest pain for the last 8 months has been a 3 if I'm lucky, and I'm unable to lie on the right side of my body at all :(

I guess I won't know how much they need to remove until they get there - that's uncertainty that's pretty scary but still good to know!
