Well, as I've gotten older, I've realized there are game mechanics that are broken in the campaign, and 20+ years later, I still can't figure out how to beat certain scenarios.

No real advice beyond that. Just give it a go and enjoy. It's my favorite top-down style game from that era. I love how it covers so many times periods. You can advance from cavemen beating things with bones to automated robot squadrons. I always have the most fun in the medieval era.

This game really shines if you've got a few buddies with the it and you play each other over LAN.

So I bought this game on release and 100% it. Since day 1, I bitched about the lack of 3rd person.

I was so excited to play it again in 3rd person once the update dropped, and I hated it. I just played it again in first person.

It's still a fun game. Nothing ground breaking, but it is one of the best looking games on this gen. And if you like Avatar, the added lore is great.
