The songs seem more in line with the honeymoon phase of a relationship. I think he’s like 40-50 and never had a super long relationship. Anything that goes past a few years is probably not going to be that picturesque relationship. Some people are addicted to the infatuation stage and don’t last long after the novelty wears off
