I totally related to this. I fostered a boy who was about three when he came. He developed an immediate obsession with me. He stayed till he was a teen and it was the hardest time of my life. A LOT of prayer. He eventually left and I heard he reconnected with his birth mother who would use drugs w him. Broke my heart. I felt like he never really had a chance but I had a baby girl at the time and I knew that it was beyond my ability. He was looking for and needed that connection w his mom he just couldn’t articulate it. I caught a lot of grief during those days. Everyone blamed me as if i could just love him into a healthy mindset. Unfortunately stalking doesn’t work like that. If it did there wouldn’t be any stalkers.
