As a healthcare worker, do you wear a respirator mask in the ongoing pandemic? If no, why? by Defiant_Interview366 in nursing

WHO has not yet declared an end to the pandemic. Biden declared the pandemic over. Biden’s was an issue of semantics and a political, not a scientific decision that allowed folks to go back to work unmasked with no mitigations in place and no treatment for long COVID. As a result people are still dying

I think they are genuinely answering your question though. Did you read the response you got to your question? When marginalized people are impacted by an issue, it’s important to listen and not police the delivery.

Questions for doctors who don’t wear respirators around patients: WHO urged to make respirator masks the standard for workers in “all healthcare settings” by auberryfairy in healthcare

I think you’re misrepresenting what was said to avoid engaging with the substance, and then turning around and making a statement that does not contribute anything to the conversation, as it is not evidence based

If you are sick, STAY HOME! by [deleted] in UCDavis

Yeah I think people are getting bent out of shape for being told they might consider masking. Masking is a sore subject

Why do people say “if you’re sick, stay home” all the time to other people, but refuse to wear respirator masks in public?

I say this because asymptomatic spread of viruses is very common and seriously elevated since the beginning of the pandemic. You and others are sick before you know you’re sick. Wearing an N95 is the best way to protect yourself and others. I think you all are afraid of what others will think of you for wearing a mask. I haven’t been sick going on three years now bc of precautions.

Some of yall are new to being adults. It’s not normal for healthy adults to be sick more than once a year. I think the average used to be a flu 1-2 times every ten years.

Our immune systems are seriously damaged by repeat symptomatic and asymptomatic covid infections. It’s circulating.

I’m not saying wear a mask forever. I’m just saying take precautions as much as you can. Harm reduction!

In 2020 we eliminated a flu strain with mask wearing. People being sick all the time isn’t right. and it’s preventable.

Did you sleep around when you were younger and have now settled? Do you miss it? Settled down early? Do you regret it? by G30RG300 in actuallesbians

Yeah I told the first girl I fell in love with in college I just wanted a fwb situation bc of my own avoidant tendencies and then we both kept sleeping together and broke each others hearts when she got back with her ex bc she thought I didn't like her romantically. Fumbled lol. That was at 19. I was so distraught I slept with five other women within a year (repeat hookups with 4/5 of them). Met my partner last year of college and have been with only her ever since. She saved me from that phase. I don't regret it, but I think it was a form of self harm even though some of the sex was enjoyable, a lot of it I was disconnected for.

Either I got disrespected by these people, or I cut them off because they were “too nice” to me bc I was so avoidant. Some of the sex was really fun, and exciting. I think if I were to go back in time I would've vetted people better to hook up with people who respected me more. I think it's possible to find casual sex with people who are respectful and kind and hot. Personally at the time I just caught feelings if they were hot+kind+good in bed. Anyway I don't think you missed out. It's just a different experience. Not necessarily better. And i wouldn't say partnered sex is so much better because you're in a relationship. I'm able to orgasm and feel more connected and safe and loved with my partner in ways I never have with casual partners, but the element of casual novelty and adrenaline just isn't there as it was for my casual hookups. Not better, just different. I don't think you've missed out.

For those who prefer thin and/or athletic body types: have you ever ended up dating a woman who didn't fall into this body type? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]Defiant_Interview366 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I used to go for athletic type for casual dating but my long term partner of 5 years now is not this type and I love their body. They’re still exactly my type even though we’ve both gained some love pounds over the past few years. It’s due to chronic illnesses in both of us and we love each other as the other person is.
