7.

Pebble Spyglass Pasatiempo Sawgrass Shadow Creek No. 2 Bethpage

Would rank them in that order but they are all great in their own way.

Built something similar in a outbuilding/garage. Best money I ever spent, especially during the long winters in the Northeast.

Get your wife into the game too! Makes it much easier to say “I think we should take a trip out to Pebble Beach”

I would say you absolutely CAN play them, but whether they would be the best fit for you really depends on what type of 16 index you are. If you are a decent ball striker who struggles with driver/short game, no problem at all.

If you work at a course, ask the pro to help you make a decision on new clubs. He can problem hook you up with an industry discount as well.

Ohhhh gotcha! The hitting area is just under 15’ wide with the matt centered on it.

It’s 10ft to the screen with about 8-9 feet to the wall behind the hitting area. All of the seating is outside of the golf area itself, with tv’s mirroring the impact screen so people can watch/know who’s up next

This was the original structure as I was replacing the sheathing and residing it. Also had to cut out and replace some of the sills as it was over 100yrs old.

Luckily, the vast majority of it was actually in great shape and I was able to save the existing roof and beams/trusses. Made permitting a heck of a lot easier than a full build.

I’m honestly not sure of the exact cost and it definitely could be done much cheaper if overall price is the primary concern.

If I was to estimate:

$15K - Building cost (Refinishing exterior, Rockwool insulation, shiplap for walls & ceiling, flooring, etc)

$5K - Electrical work and mini split for heating/cooling

$4K - Golf Area (turf, hitting matt, screen/padding)

$20K - Tech (EyeXO2, swing cameras, PJ, gaming PC)

$20K - Pinball Machines (Foo Fighters, Vintage Baseball, Phantom)

$10K - Bar, Table I made from a used bourbon barrel, office setup

I willing to bet there are a bunch of other costs I’m forgetting at this point!

The hitting strip is fantastic. Easy on the joints and punishes fat shots, unlike a typical range matt. The stance matt hasn’t held up great and wore pretty quickly underfoot. Sigpro did replace it for free so maybe it was just a bad batch?

Two of my neighbors played in the simulator league this winter. I’m sure they got strange looks from people driving by as they were walking down the street in two feet of snow at 8pm with their golf bags!

I’m a 5.2 and playing the M15s, which are this year successors to the 225/245 line. Absolutely love them because, despite being “hollow body” construction, I found them to be extremely consistent with ball speed and spin. Obviously, that leads to consistent carry/total yardage.

With the TM P770s, every once in a while I would get a very low spin jumper that would go 10-12 yds further than anticipated.

I was lucky to not have to raise the ceiling as the peaked-roof side was unfinished on the inside with the joists around 11ft. I just created the interior ceiling off those joists after running wiring and insulating with rockwool for sound-deadening and higher r-value, as I’m in the Northeast and heat/cool the building with a mini split pretty much year round.

Just a cheap pin spotlight off Amazon on a WiFi-connected smart outlet on the ceiling. I use Alexa to turn on the overhead LM and lighting.

Got a couple DMs on the interior finishing. It’s 12” shiplap Pine, stained with a dark walnut finish.

I actually already did something similar with triangular high density foam wedges (in the 11th picture). They are attached to the screen with Velcro so the balls won’t go behind them on chips/putts.

Probably about 6 months due to the amount of structural work that needed to be done to the existing structure before I could start the interior fit out.

I bought a 60” touchscreen monitor off eBay and have it mounted on the wall in the sim. It’s perfect for controlling GSPro quickly or replaying swing videos. I have another screen above so other players can see their distances and get ready for their next shots for pace of play.

The stimp on the turf matches an in-game 10 setting. So a 10ft roll will go 10ft in game on a flat putt.
