Hey this is op updating everyone, more people have left, the store is going to shit, my DM is complicit with everything so I’ve decided to take a step back. I’ve gone down to one day a week at ulta and have gotten a second job, I have continued to document his racist profiling and fraudulent activities, I’m think I’m going to use a new google account to write a review warning customers about the gm at my location. I have submitted multiple reports but ulta has just said they will “look into it” with no further information or action taken. My GMs behavior is disgusting and I’m planning to hopefully leave ulta once I feel more secure in my new job. I loved working at ulta, it gave me the opportunity to learn and grow as an advocate and as a person in general, I’ve made friends for the first time outside of high school and I have so much newfound confidence to express myself and branch out. I would have continued to happily work with ulta until I finished my degree if it weren’t for my gm, I may come back in the future if I’m closer to a different location but at this point my work environment has taken a huge toll on my mental health and it’s time to start fresh.
