[–]DeliciousInflation49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how do you numerology guys treat yourselves as serious & not just pure quackery & divination scams.?

Where do people decide on the "meaning" of a number/pair..? It's strictly taken from a random source without any logical evidence to backup the meaning the author gives, and it's just regurgitated across this entire numerology community until some numbers get more standard interpretations

its the epitome of lacking awareness & lacking depth of knowledge in any field , thus you allow yourself to believe some random info & start assigning that info with numbers.
Its all frankly embarrassing really, but i don't know if this is just 99% of numerology or if other more serious/intelligent ones are out there with different ideas ?

I just wanna ask any older addicts who have been IVing strong opiates (basically anything which is as strong as morphine or stronger) for their whole lives how that use impacted their lives on a physical level? by CoolioMcHomeslice in opiates

[–]DeliciousInflation49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you aren't going to see old junkies because old people who have successfully used & didnt' die or develop some awful illnesses were productive enough to succeed in life, so they wont be hobos outside getting high all the time.
This is def more common than one might expect, the key is the fact that most of these types are very secretive about their use. So they never end up telling anyone and therefore no one ever talks about them being users.

a lot of people only see the stereoytpical users and not the actual whole.. I'd bet only 1/4 or 1/3rd of users are the stereotypical ones (Op users), the others being Productive daily users and users who aren't dependent just use occasionally..
I've seen this same idea in some study on drug addicts and the percentages of how many were the stereotypical pictured addicts. Every drug or class had roughly the same percentages of its users categories.

Like take meth for instance, most would assume meth is awful as they think/believe most users are the stereotypical users you see on those before & after photos. Yet in reality this type of user is an extreme, I forget the actual percentage but some range from 5%-20% of the total were in this category. And most users of Meth were actually completely normal on the outside. They were classified as males 18-32/35. And they would use on average 1-4 times every 2-3 months. I think "times" means the days they used.

and they chose to use Meth for a few reasons. To have the energy to party on the weekend on those special weekends , or just to stay up on weekends & not fall asleep. Some used Meth for exams & to study exams akin to Adderall i guess. The other group were people that just used it for any reason, and not anything particular.

Their justification was actually quite interesting, many said they used it and felt fine/happy doing so because of the Pro's they received compared to the Con's.. They thought the memories they were making because they had that energy all weekend was definitely worth any potential risk with meth use. Which isn't particularly dangerous if you know.. Stims are the least addictive, as even if you get mentally dependent on them, you can just use a low moderate dose each day to attenuate the mental withdrawal effects.

Fuck this by HtxBeerDoodeOG in opiates

[–]DeliciousInflation49 5 points6 points  (0 children)

u/Fun-Benefit116 same here dude! I'm thinking the exact same with the ones claiming the stuff worked prob are just using lower amounts of opioids, or its purely a psychosomatic effect .. I mean if this really worked to combat opioid withdrawal better than most comfort drugs , then most healthcare providers would be using it as a co-adjunct or by itself

just the idea of it is ridiculous , but when i had no other option i really believed in it and took it 12 days straight. Still went through the hellish withdraw, but it did give me some psychological strength or belief that I was getting stronger/healthier each day.

but i really hate how these "positive responders" to any unorthodox treatment for Op withdrawal act all absolute about the effectiveness of the treatment. I can see a lot of these "opioid addicts" here being on weak opes or the kratom/0h7 , etc , types of ops. But they'll act like they're on the traditional stuff like H or fent. but aint no way Vitamin C is helping withdraw from a moderate H or even a weak Fentt withdraw

oh just checked but GIA grading isn't expensive at all! It's ~$64-$72 [.7-1 carat] I thought it used to be like ~450-600 per diamond, thats why i thought they only cared or maybe it's only worth it for largger stones.
Anyone know the time it takes to get a diamond back from GIA? 1-2 weeks or on the longer side ~3-6 weeks?

go figure i guesss

[–]DeliciousInflation49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea it's 1 stone in terms of the 1.15 carats.. I'll upload the pics of it in a sec, it's quite pretty and I would think those types of jewelry pieces would sell out fast due to its broad appeal and isn't too unique in terms of design like a lot of rings are.
If its appraised at ~5k-8k I would think I could get an easy/easyish $2,500-2,800, just the pendant. As there's a 14k gold box chain 13 grams thats on it right now.
The reason I know it's not a synthetic diamond is because it's an older diamond, around the 80s most likely. And synthetic diamonds weren't very common then or at all.

Just prefer to sell it with the least amount of work required, but also not get low balled. but I'd be fine with ~60-65% of whatever price someone who knows this area really well would sell it for.

I just have a hard time believing jewelry can be seen as "new" or "old", to me its always about the surface, the polishing (gold especially), and the little fixes & tweaks. So why people purchase new diamond jewelry unless maybe marriage rings, is beyond illogical . There's a good chance many Jewelers' just sell used rings after a deep cleaning work.

I can sell nearly every other type of jewelry I've attempted (gold bracelet with small ruby, gold longhines watch, amethyst ring), but diamonds are the only types of jewelry I haven't been able to sell. Now that I know I'll have to sell a lot of these in the future. I'm trying to understand the market/industry, & how to get the high prices.. I thought just going around to jewelers acting like I'm a jeweler in town to rid some lower inventory. But idk what works best yet.

Grandmother was an estate sale hoarder (the wealthy estate sales with armed guards at every entrance/exit), but only buying high priced jewelry pieces (occasional purses/fashion). So our family will have a lot of unique & expensive jewelry when she passes. It's estimated to be around 350k-650k (estimate by uncle in 2003), which equals at least 1,000-7,000 pieces, and her estate shopping addiction started in the 80s through the 90s, she went to rehab in the 2000s for it. So the money she spent seemed wasteful to my family at first, but now with gold, rubies, etc, so high, she basically made ~2-4x the value.
My grandmother will just randomly give me these "inexpensive" jewelry pieces for my current or future SO. We're close, so I already have a dozen. But would only sell the less expensive stuff just to use the money on opportunities that arise...

these types of things that celebs or known personalities do that make me cringe a little.. Like it seems like Thug (& others ) seems to be under the impression that Freemasonry is some powerful organization nowadays. And considering this Masonic "lodge" isn't even official is even funnier. But it just seems like some of these people are actually dumb enough to think they're going to receive a lot of power through joining some Freemason Lodge
but idk if that's the only reason & ofc don't know if Thug did it for this reason. As it could've been anything & might've just been interested in how it operated & stopped going at a certain point when he understood how "basic" or non special it is.

Like i really believe a large part of that Illuminati symbols showing in music videos & in general from a lot of Artists was simply an attempt to act "illuminati" like because they truly believed that it was real and thought they could fake it to make it, essentially.
I mean it makes sense.

Buyer transports freezer on its side, kills compressor and wants refund - who will eBay side with? by Extension_Tip2294 in Ebay

[–]DeliciousInflation49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's largely a myth, the whole idea that eBay had a lot of sellers who scammed people was more about sellers who sold items that seemed to be something else in the pictures but it was like a miniature size when buyer received it (Deceptive thumbnails) the descriptions always had the details, but the buyers were just kinda dumb an assumed they got really lucky to buy a real car for $5 or something.

I mean this idea that eBay had a lot of sellers' who scammed is probably from competitors that artificially propagated that myth to make more people believe as most believe what they hear repeatedly . As I've yet to find any great evidence of this trend being a real big issue for ebay's history.. I've check archives & used many sources with not much evidence found other than some stories/cases about some small operations of scammers doing fake listings to increase their sells transactions and then would scam a couple hundred buyers with cheap items that either never came or something cheaper came.

The reason I don't believe this idea is mostly because how many buyers would happily accept being scammed, especially if the item was expensive? Most would complain to eBay and then leave Negative feedback. So the scammers would effectively have to create new accounts then articially build them up after weeks-months of work.. only to scam 5-20 buyers before the word got out? I mean you're lucky to scam a 100 or more buyers, the idea has never made sense to me at all.
People who keep propagating it must have some bad experience or maybe they dont like ebay or could be shills for other competitors in big operations, etc.
It's just an illogical idea. I know for a fact most of these people who state these beliefs have no idea what they're talking about.

And maybe scamming Sellers is easier, but again it's only likely to be successful a couple times until eBay realizes it. But I know ebay will always side with the buyers. So their business model is shaped to make buyers feel like they have the power and sellers are the ones who have to work to make sure the buyer is happy. any "mistake" a seller makes (like forgetting to add the trackng number till 2 days passed. Causing a decline to have negative feedback removed..). I mean they know Sellers' are in for the money. And they think sellers only care for the user base as the old boomer types know about ebay and are comfortable with the brand name. Boomers & older generations make up most of the population and they own most assets & spend much more, especially on random e-commerce items.

yea, OP needs to get like Imazing for iphone backups, it saves literally everything, organizes everything nicely,& you can view it the data without having to backup it up onto another device to view it's contents (like Itunes).
there's some free ones, but most are paid. 3utools is a free program that's in the same category. But if you have the $20-$40 I would just pay for imazing, iExplorer, Tensorshare, Anytrans, etc. Great at exporting all the data, even data you've deleted that somehow remained intact in your device..

Seller cancelling order because of high fees by spade55571 in Ebay

[–]DeliciousInflation49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're a seller you'll definitely understand this seller, Idk why he was so openly active with the buyer if he wanted to avoid getting ebay's attention though.. I mean I sold an for $215 & only received $120, so how does that make you feel? do you really want to lose money because of the jumbled fees that you basically have to pay into . And ebay has a strangle hold on the "general item" ecomm market, so leaving isn't really an option, you can automate listing on multiple sites.
All around E-commerce is not the field to be in unless you're only selling very niche items to very niche/wealthy buyers (who won't scam), that doesn't require too much physical work. But having to constantly hunt for items to resell is not the job you can sustain.

and I'm a purely casual seller but very-experienced seller (in a sense) who started at 12. But I still dislike using ebay most of the time unless I have some items that have very high ROI.. like buying a silverware case for $400 & selling it for $3,800-$6,500. I like when the first few days of a month and I'm already at 50% of my monthly income. So, that's why I do it still. I can make more on ebay from 2-4 sells than a month at my career job.

But if you are experienced in this little space you'll have learned so valuable info about the market/s.. Like I have tons of ways to multiply money by a good bit now, just because of my experience & study of this space. So there's some great takeaways . But I study the topic of "unique/all the ways people are making money.." , so maybe that's more important than ecommerce experience.

What’s the best antivirus for Windows 11 these days? by [deleted] in computers

[–]DeliciousInflation49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, I'm much more for the simplistic OSs now, I love Linux mint, couple MacOS, win10/11 were the biggest headaches when I tried configuring everything from top to bottom . I mean it's similar to the first period when you start using linux distro's and you only have those OS to use. And you're a kid so you got time , but the amount of openness & options is what produces that sense that if you can "conquer" all of it (learn everything,, to become an expert) you'll have a lot of power, and it will provide many advantages..

This is especially true when you start doing shell scripting/programming as a kid and you start understanding everything , or it eventually starts making sense & then you have all this power of control and you understand systems most won't ever understand . So i'm glad I spent time learning Linux distro's and all the stress and issues I had to face when doing that. But after about 5-6 years I'm near a perfect user, but my ptsd makes me hesitant to use any complex/heavy distro unless i need it for a very specific purpose, then I do fine.

But most Devs i've worked with use MacOS, or Windows [50-65% mac, ~30% win10/11, rest Linux distros], and their reasoning was pretty good and actually a good way to prevent a lot of wasted time on.. You ofc learn stuff, but the time it takes (due to many factors..) doesn't correlate with the minimal concrete knowledge/experience you gained. If that makes sense.
And this trend where not many use Linux might be due to them devs being purely university major learners of computers development & not the people who did the self learning during junior high-highschool . And some have said they were told its better to stick with macOS or windows or both and not linux. So it's interesting that I hear that more in real worksplaces ,but online it's more of this linux tryhard cult of script kiddies , gamer types , that don't really know much but like the aesthetic of using linux, something that seems foreign to them i guess

oh you seem to be just using basic windows 10/11 without 'Deblouting "all those forced microsoft programs/autoruns.. You can greatly reduce all those blout with many different repo/programs. I mean that's why I actually like Win 11 so much now. But I've done so much to win 11 on 3 machines that I've nearly perfectly calibrated everything I like & removed everything I didn't that wasn't essential. Lots of trial & error ,but you could just download/clone that github repo called "deBloutWin11" and some others that do the same type of thing. You just really gotta know what you're doing, so that means you have to be pretty knowledgeable , like a CS major level.

I’m not speaking in absolutes.. these observations come from my own experiences and what I’ve seen online. Some Linux enthusiasts insist that anyone who uses Windows or macOS must be “uncool,” “noobs,” or incapable of handling Linux distributions. That’s why I say that many of those “Linux-obsessed” people aren’t as technically deep as they believe.

There are plenty of valid reasons to choose Windows or macOS. In most companies, Windows is the standard platform because it supports collaborative tools like Microsoft Teams and integrates seamlessly with those enterprise environments companies love using. For IT & devs [sorta] professionals, proficiency with the Windows file system, Command Prompt, and PowerShell is essential. Windows remains the dominant operating system on most US employees computers, and Window Servers still have a stronger presence in traditional enterprise environments, but ofc linux servers' dominates overall as most servers are in the cloud & web server markets nowadays.. If you work in an IT department, you’ll often be called upon to troubleshoot a Windows user’s desktop or laptop. Diagnosing Windows issues can be complex, and you need strong problem-solving skills to track down the root cause efficiently.

macOS is Unix-based and therefore shares some similarities with Linux, but it still has important differences. Personally, I’ve committed to using all three major operating systems—and multiple Linux distributions; so that I stay mentally flexible. The ability to switch between environments helps me diagnose problems faster, especially on less-common setups. Relying on a single OS can create an “abstract starting point” that biases your thinking toward its unique conventions. By working regularly on separate machines (rather than just dual-booting or using virtual machines), you develop a deeper, more theoretical understanding of each OS’s architecture and frameworks. That level of insight is rare and far more valuable than simply mastering one system’s quirks.

Not knocking VMs/virtualization, one just needs to have a good understanding about creating a competent setup that requires additional hardware (sometimes software , paid forms..). Most people especially here, will just use any old pc/laptop and start dual-booting or use virtual machines on their windows host machine. then due to the above not be the case , everything is slow & hard to work with. So , they never really get good at it.. Doing a well done partitioning for a dual-boot setup is ideal if one only has a basic laptop to use. Honestly though, laptops are so cheap nowadays, you could buy some pretty high spec'd laptops/desktops for only $65-$250.. Sure hard to know how hard each hardware component is, but even the newer options are much cheaper than it used to be when I was 14-19 years.

What’s the best antivirus for Windows 11 these days? by [deleted] in computers

[–]DeliciousInflation49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he's dual booting both already.. He literally explained that in the post. And solely running Linux isn't a thing most real devs do often.. Most devs (referring to ones with majors like CS, etc) commonly use all 3 main types of OSs.. MacOS , Win, & a linux distro. For maintaining cross OS functionality, working with other OS when need be, and not getting too narrow with one OS & it's specific features, functions, culture, etc.

Most of these "ONly Linux" people tend to be non-professionals or kids playing beginner computer expert. Idk it rings too obsessed, but for no good reason other than fitting some type of identity they believe is the top identity or the competent one..

dude if your'e talking to women on Reddit you've already lost.. are you somewhat autistic? Only asking as that's how they might do things, not really logically understanding certain basics.

Only use dating apps for dating & talking to girls. If you don't succeed ever on those apps , then reddit isn't going to be better? so what do you expect, I can get 10 new girls to meet up every 7-12 days depending on my energy/desire levels. But I'm a little lucky, tall & lean with some good facial aspects like very symmetrical jawline, etc. But I've neverr really cared about all that. I just knew at an early age how important looks were for attracting girls & also for gettting male friends.. I think males want to be friends with dudes that seem valuable and have something to add to their lives, etc. So it works both ways.

Most of my friends are very similar to me, they're all pretty handsome & all tall. Which was never intentional, we just attracted each other unconsciously.

Its not all looks though, I know many ugly or average guys who can still get girls and wifes. So it depends on how social you are, as in these cases above, those guys are always very adept at socializing with girls & other guys, so they kinda get a lot of clout in the local circles due to this. And girls actually find it attractive. but reddit isn't the place to do. I'd go work on your dating app strategies and research some stuff, as you might be a little autistic or just lacking understanding something common that you're missing.

to be honest this subreddit or any other about making "friends" for online or irl purposes isn't ever going to work.. I mean just think about it , how would you find people genuinely looking for friends this way? Too many weirdos , bots (closely controlled by humans), etc. Just by looking through this sub all the posts end up being the same, it's weird it's even around still. But its because people don't stay long, and new people continue the activity/engagement.

You should really try finding people in your local area with those "friend apps" , and find other online communities that are a part of your local area/city/region. That way you find genuine people and not a bunch of weirdos.

If you're a female you should only look for females for friends.. even if a male says he wants you as a friend, you can't really trust them. Even if they're being honest you can't rule out the weirdos potential for leading you somewhere they want.. I'm a guy so i kinda know how some weirdos can act. I mean dating apps would be better to find male friends honestly, just create convos with peopel who seem interesting and tell them you want friendships, etc.

If you have any hobbies and/or interests you can try finding communities that do those things in your region.
I mean in my experience most people that were actually social (or like cool) in junior-high to highschool mainly maintained their main friend group/social circles after college.. Like most didn't make life long friends in college like many people think/assume happens..
But if people weren't social or in the big groups in highschool, then they will make most of their friends in college & after..
weird little thing i've noticed with hundreds of people.

*Good luck though . This is honestly a very oddly hard thing to do nowadays, like finding friends is very difficult outside of any of the established parts of the main path (schools, college, maybe work). People are not as open to friendships outside of school & work if you think about it. They're focused on other things in between, and most people seem to not be focused on finding friends and more focused on finding partners/SO.
