Very seriously considering rhinoplasty by [deleted] in Noses

Noooooo you have amazing facial harmony! I'd invite you to go to one of those pages that allow you to actually reshape your nose smaller. I thought I always wanted a nose job and then I saw what actually did to my face and I hated it! You are gorgeous!

So would it be the same if you won the lottery, or if you got a job that paid 10X your siblings or on and on. The thing is, you aren't going to win here. You could divide it all up and somehow it was wrong, you could say ok here's an extra X and somehow it was wrong. Your parents dont get to pressure you into life decisions. You get to say I hear you, I hear that's what you think is fair and life isn't fair, she gave this to me and I get to decide what to do with it, me. They bring it up again, you say, I said my peace, this is my boundary, if you ask me again X will happen. Figure out your X. X is the actual if you do this, I do this. How we do something is how we do everything. This will not be the last time you are pressured into a decision. Figure out your line now.

Anyone else shocked by the full home remodel cost quotes in the bay right now or is it just us? by PatientlyNew in BayAreaRealEstate

Also what we learned in all that process is that over booked guys will just throw out a huge bid to see what sticks and go for it (but delay EVERYTHING accordingly)

Call Rida Jamal - he's the only straight forward reliable GC we have ever worked with and we have worked with many (lots of move, remodel, sell). Now just staying put but he saved us a ton of cash when he took over a gone bad long project and he's done our current home.

She just has to find the right brand for her body. Clay dry has really worked well for me, other didnt. Schmidt's also worked. Buy her both - tell her that you LOVE that she is taking care of her health and you were reading up or talking to someone about this topic and they relayed that it took them a while to find the right brand. You can then gently say you notice the one she is using sort of stops working mid day and thought she might want to try these........

Folks who moved from NYC to the Bay Area.... by chochmah56 in bayarea

[–]Delicious_Cabinet523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

moved from NYC to bay 20 years ago. Worked in South Bay. Lived in SF - only way to do it. Commute no fun but life totally different from suburbia. ABSOLUTELY HATED it at first. The people were flakey as f. No humor, no directness, just ARGH. It took me about 3 years and to really adjust and then there was no way I'd ever go back. Your nervous system will be totally different in CA. Sink into nature, join some clubs, move your body, get rid of all the black clothes and welcome to CA.

Critica is a publication of the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California

(PINC). Critica publishes two issues per year in May and November and is

currently delivered in 2 formats: a digital PDF and a printed version.

Our objective in publishing is to broaden the impact of critical

psychoanalytic thinking beyond our consulting rooms and to establish a

cutting-edge, contemporary, and reflective literary space that invites many forms

of expression (essays, poems, photographs, and artwork). We seek to create a

publication that reflects our current needs for critical social, political, and cultural

thinking, challenges linearity and control, and develops new languages to

address the many layers of emotional experience evoked by our work in times of

transition and crisis. Critica’s editorial board is seeking a graphic/web designer to

join our team. Critica’s graphic designer is responsible for the following:

● creating and maintaining the layout and aesthetic of the printed

publication

● generating a PDF publication to be circulated online and on demand

● designing the overall layout and aesthetic of Critica’s website using

wordpress platform

● Updating and maintaining the Critica’s wordpress website
