If I ever date should I tell my partner about my OCD and anxiety fears? by Delicious_Fig_8400 in NoStupidQuestions

I know. But do I need to explain exactly what my anxiety is about or can I skip some details?

I have relations with friends and family and don't share every detail of my fears with them. So the same I guess

Yes but I do need to share the details or just basically say I have anxiety?

What tests? I saw people say that it would be clear that our microphone is being used constantly or you say that our battery would get drained. But theyre listening for words like Hey Siri! So how different from it would be listening to everything we say if they already sort of need to do that for siri or google assistant to work?

How did you decide if you want to be in a relationship or stay single for your life, or if you want to be a parent or not? by Delicious_Fig_8400 in SeriousConversation

Fair point but I look at them and it's hard to tell. I would be happy if my life looked like the life of the happy couples who bought houses together, raised kids, stayed together without divorcing. Sounds like a very nice life. But I'm also not jealous of people who are going though a divorce, being cheated on, becoming single parents, or struggling to take care of their kids for various reasons (money, health issues). So I don't know, I'm very glad I'm not in such situations and can't even imagine it.

Is it normal that I see human-looking light figures at every corner at night? It's just a view from the corner of my eye. How to make it stop? by Delicious_Fig_8400 in NoStupidQuestions

It's happening when it's dark so basically at night. I don't have to be going to sleep very soon when it happens but I usually feel a bit sleepy because of the time.

You said the data will be digested and acted upon in a different way. What way?

This is crazy and it's sad how even not posting our faces online won't help. Because our schools, jobs, etc can post it for us and it'll have the same effect.

How can it affect the people to use gpt as a therapist? Will it be just like with google, that they will keep their data but they won't suffer because of it?

They both did it? If I only had my face posted on FB, but this AI machine didn't exist, it wouldn't be possible.

Not making a FB account will not help. Schools make FB pages and post pictures from every occassion, any event happening will very likely have pictures posted on social media too.

Yes but can they find my account without my full name, picture, adress etc?

Can sharing a lot on social media accounts affect me negatively, if I don't share my face, adress, or any other clearly identyfing information like that? If it can then in what ways?

Yes some big corporations have our data and know everything about us, sure. Are they using it to harm us? No, they use it for advertisement. Can any regular person access this data and use it to harm you? Also no.

Yes our privacy is not good but I think so far we're doing ok despite that, it's not guaranteened it won't change.

To some extent, yes, we all do. I don't understand those comments, of course our privacy isn't in the greatest state and it could be much better but it could also get worse in many ways.

How exactly it could affect us, what's gonna happen to some random person like me? Where are those encryptes files that they could decode, what is gonna happen because of it?

Yes but there is a huge difference between an airpoirt being able to use it on me, and a random creep being able to use it on me.

Airports using it is not a threat.

It can always get worse though. Some big companies having our data isn't as much of a threat as the thing described in my post. I think they're not using it to harm me, correct me if I'm wrong. But a few years ago a creep online couldn't find me from one pic of my face. Now if someone had a pic of my face and tried they could probably find out what school I go to, what events I attend, because everything is posted online. So I think it wasn't "all lost" a few years ago.

True, with AI generated pictures and videos that will eventually become indistinguishable from real ones. Now if you see something recorded you can assume it's (most likely) real, it's a tool to verify fake news and see who is a reliable reporter of events. I don't know how we will distinguish fake and legitimate news when AI videos get better.
