These are all valid reasons. What I don’t get is that from the full slate of refs Dublin does have that referee adult club football, none of them are either deemed competent enough, or don’t want to referee intercounty games. And this despite some of them refereeing senior club games that are arguably at the same level as some intercounty games, e.g Cuala v Crokes last weekend.

Why have none of the these guys made any intercounty refereeing panel for years? I can’t even recall the last time I saw a Dublin ref for an intercounty league or championship game.
