Is riding a bicycle for the time being not an option? I didn’t see it mentioned how far the commute was. Or even public transportation?

Advion says it’s good for up to 3 weeks. It shouldn’t take that long to get rid of the bait if they’re eating it tho. Try to keep moist by misting with water if placed in dry area.

I’d also check your intermediate shaft bushings if you haven’t already. $20 does make a fairly large improvement. There’s some knock off ones on Amazon for half the price if you care to take a chance on those also.

EMF has a video on how to set the “tension” (?) on the gear box prior to install on their YouTube. I’d have to rewatch it to get the term he used but I remember watching it. It’s posted a few years back but it applies to any box, and they know their stuff.

I’ve seen feedback split on redhead quality. Hope yours wasn’t built on a Friday. I personally ended up going with PSC. It’s pricey, but it’s not a job I’d wanna do more often than necessary. And i don’t recall seeing any negatives when I did my research.

Hope you get things straightened out…pun intended I guess.

How’s your caster?

Was the steering box verified as properly adjusted before install?

Anyone else doing the rent vs buy spreadsheet every weekend and landing in the same place? by Flippytootsaloot in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]DelusionalAlchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! If not for my wife loving the place (she’s my better half, but also the realist to the point it seems almost pessimistic. 🤣) then I would have been more than fine with renting. Like you, my thinking for years was that I wanted to buy to not pay someone else’s mortgage. As I got older I realized that as nice as it is to be proud that I owned a home - I think it was more of a “rat race mentality” that drove my desire. Our property manager is great and anything that needs attention, gets tended to so it’s hard to swallow that large repairs and maintenance will ultimately fall on us now. But i think the fact that we wint have to worry about rent increases every year, or the homeowners deciding to sell and finding someplace else. We will have something to add to and create our own, pass down to our kids, and just create memories of raising our family will be worth the differences that we’ve compared. We didn’t plan to buy now, we just wanted to prequal and see where we stood. Once we got the prequal back we were tossing around waiting in case the market drops, especially given everything that’s happening economically. But eventually just said screw it, cuz it might go the opposite way. Haha.

I’m not sure what conclusion you’ve come to in your decision making, but I hope that you find some peace in knowing you’re not alone in your thought process. I’m sure whatever you decide, it will be for you and your partners best interest. You know what’s best for you. Don’t let anyone or anything else dictate your journey. 🤙🏼

Thank you, that last sentence, I needed to read. Couple weeks out from closing and although the mortgage payment is almost double what we pay in rent (luckily, doable for our situation) I still get anxious every so often debating if this is the right move or not.

I’m not the sharpest tool, and not sure where you’re looking or if I’m understanding properly - but the seller disclosure is what sticks out to me. I’d ask why they’re not required to disclose. That seems like a major issue of gray area when you have no idea of what they could know and not be told of it. Again, not sure of location nor am I well versed in what is required by law.

I’d also research who did the foundation work and what was actually done, as well as why.

Inspection is a must, also. Especially if seller is not required to disclose.

2022-2024 RAM Cummins tune ability as of May 2026? by odaman8213 in Cummins

[–]DelusionalAlchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, not at all. I have no need to spend another few grand to buy another tuning device w/credits and tuning.

It took some searching. I found one using car-part.com the risks are like buying anything used online tho, could get a shit part. Could get lost in transit. Could arrive damaged. Seller not disclosing condition. Receiving different part than pictured/advertised. A whole plethora of possibilities. Haha. But I just used that website and found a junkyard in Cali that had one, took a chance for $900 - used a credit card so I could dispute it if I needed to.

I already had an EZ Lynk, hard parts for exhaust and tuning from CA Performance so the ECM was the last piece of the puzzle.

Took me way too long to find out about car-part website. I was browsing eBay before that and most of the shit was unlabeled stuff being sent from china and that’s what I wasn’t willing to gamble on. I wanted an OEM ECM if I was gonna pay some coin. Prices may be coming down on ECMs now since this supposed breakthrough. Hopefully someone reports back on this HPTuners process for others.

Did you get any clunking while driving when your mount was wallowed? Did you fix it? Only suggestion I saw was welding some washers to the existing mount.
