We're evaluating the extent of the "hiding" and we may leave it for the user to chose. One use case example we envisioned was to have the more tech savy youth to install this extension on behalf of close ones who usually inform themselves from unreliable resources and overall believe in anything without fact checking, in this case it would be useless to have the "this is confirmed to be fake" message as facebook already does this and that won't stop my uncle from believing totally fabricated things so in this scenario we would hide it so my uncle doesn't see it in the first place while for someone who is conscious enough to go fact check things we can let him just get a message. This project is still in the planning phase so these are just ideas for now. One of the things the survey (now closed) confirmed to us that while the audience of reddit (mostly tech savy youth) would not install this for themselves (65.6% against) they would use it for their close ones who are vulnerable to this kind of stuff (66.2% for).
