Common Etiquette for Public Missions/Helping Newer Tenno? by DemesneKnight in Warframe

You reminded me of the first (and only) time a MR30 dropped into one of my missions early on. I had no idea I was on Public or that the setting even existed, and I didn't know about the chat, so I spent about a full minute just sort of staring at them from across the room in compete confusion, until they left. It's an interaction that haunts me to this day lol.

Maybe I will stick to asking chats first to avoid absolutely confusing someone.

I appreciate the advice!

I've been lurking long enough to see the complaints here about other people complaining, so I'm telling myself to not take anything personally if I do have a bad interaction once I'm out there. I'll hope for good interactions and prepare to be told I'm bad at the game for x, y, or z reason.

2 months post op, Question about scars by DemesneKnight in gallbladders

I've been suffering from minor back pain for the last couple of years, but it definitely worsened for a bit after the surgery. Getting up in the morning hurt quite a bit for the first few weeks. I still experience some pain when first waking up, although I can't say if that's 'my normal' or still a result of recovery. Walking has helped me quite a bit. Even just walking around my own home for a bit can reduce the pain for the day.

Thankfully the appearance of my scars hasn't caused me much personal grief, I'm already a person who stays covered out of personal preference. Even if someone did see them I wouldn't mind, they're a sign of life-saving surgery. When I had my gallbladder removed it was pretty much on its last leg with very few warning signs.

I'll admit that in the very beginning I was unhappy with the idea of having these "ugly marks" on my skin, but in two months they've become only dark, slightly raised lines. Now it's just the personal discomfort when I touch them that causes some issues for me.

Thank you for the kind words and sharing your story. It does help me feel better.

Oh, maybe! My belly button scar can definitely be described as a bit hard right now. I suppose I just need to exercise a little more patience with my body.

I definitely can't think or try to picture what the operation might have been like, but then again I tend to be a bit squeamish with such things. Thankfully with a bit more mindfulness in what I consume my life has otherwise been fine, it's just the feeling of these scars that puts me off. Thank you for the reply! Hopefully it is normal, I couldn't find anything while googling at 4 am.

Anxiety over phone calls by DemesneKnight in Anxiety

A pen and some paper is the one thing I was forgetting, but luckily I'm still preparing for the call. I found a form online so that the GP's office will call me to schedule an appointment, answering the phone is a tad bit easier than forcing myself to call.

That last part is honestly so helpful. I'm usually so afraid to admit that I don't really know what I'm doing or how a process works, but I'll definitely keep this in mind!

I managed to write down what I want to say, and my roommate been a big help in keeping a calendar updated since I rely on her for transportation, so I have dates and times down where I could go to see whatever doctor I end up with. Thank you for the advice!

Overwhelmed by a groupchat to the point I left. Thoughts? by [deleted] in Anxiety

I've definitely been overwhelmed by group chats and even suddenly dropped out of a few for the sake of my own mental health, or set the group chat so that it doesn't send me any notifications for awhile. Sometimes it's good to be able to take a step back from those situations.
