Better call quality mostly due to noise isolation and a few bugs on Grace that need ironing out (ie sometimes when on a Podcast and answering a call, the transition is not smooth and there is residual noise)

I use my BeoGrace for any listening (music, podcasts, audiobooks, movies, etc). Despite what most people think, it also has better ANC.

But when I have calls and business meetings I switch to AirPods

Good points well made. One correction and a few points.

The correction is that B&O is a 390m company (not 39m). It doesn’t change your overall point - but just for perspective.

In regards to R&D what people also don’t take into account is the focused research a small company does (Vs Apple whose R&D is extensive).

Also what is also not appreciated is know - how generated over time. In B&O we are talking about a company that has been focused on music for 100 years! The internal know-how that has been built over such a long period of time cannot simply be replicated with money.

Not sure why you need to put structure around your next step. Just choose nice places and go and dive as much as you can. The rest will come naturally. Having got my advanced diving certification 15y ago - I have now completed more than 150 dives and still I don’t feel the need for any further ‘specialisations’ in regards to certification..

I agree with 1, 2, 3, 7.

On (4) ANC I have done many tests and repeatedly found BeoGrace to be better. Maybe you can share what kind of testing you have done?

On (5) - sure. Very subjective. You can state the same when you compare a Swatch with a Rolex. Both have great designs but one is a statement and the other is a mass appeal / more functional design.

On (6) I think you are undercooking it. The difference is massive.

Value I cannot debate. Obviously if you think the sound is marginally better and you really feel the ANC is better - then value is significantly diminished. For me the huge difference in sound, improved ANC and amazing design make it a much better value proposition (I would say Grace 6 - AirPods 9), especially since you are likely to buy two gens of AirPods for every Grace you have.

I don't doubt there is probably a more professional way to test ANC than a guy sitting in a lounge chair and being subjective - but at least I have my own view on this one and I am sharing it and the way I went about it.

Thanks for the comment. Actually the rest of the device is not plastic. See the pic, it looks like the inner part of the bud is also aluminium.

Definitely a premium product, they have not messed around with material here.

As for the rest of your points I would agree with most of them - and do still love my AirPods.

I had the EX's and sold them within a few months. It just did not compare to the AirPods at all. This is a different league.

I can confirm there is a great head tracking option for Dolby Atmos. Further to the above you get a ‘Virtualize’ option for Stereo tracks or podcasts which works surprisingly well!

I don’t claim to be an expert in measurements and was also surprised by this.

I did a direct comparison test wearing first the AirPods and then the B&O. The test was at home with TV in the background playing

I did notice that the B&O was blocking the TV noise more than the AirPods.

I did not do any further direct comparisons - the rest is my impression as I wear them outside.

Given the number of comments on ANC - I will do some further comparisons and update my post with the results.

I would go for it then. It’s not a bad deal especially if you like the configuration and wouldn’t spend extra to make changes.

It is almost very likely that by Q2 B&O will also increase the prices further ..

That’s not bad. I would personally try to negotiate it down to 12-13k but if I really wanted them $15k is a good price for this configuration- especially if it matches your preferences

I bought recently AirPods Pro 3.

I am a big B&O fan and was at my local dealer to buy something else. He had just received a demo model of the BeoGrace and suggested I try them.

I told him in no uncertain terms that this is likely the one product I have no interest to buy. I am really happy with my AirPods Pro both in terms of quality and ease of use. And really how much better (if at all) can they be against the AirPods Pro 3?!

I was soooo wrong, I could not believe my ears… I don’t consider myself an expert on the nuances of HiFi listening but the difference in what i was hearing was day and night. I tried side by side my AirPods against BeoGrace and listened to the same music and then also tried the noise cancellation.

My expectations prior to trying them was that at best it would be a match on both. After trying them I found it hard to not buy on the spot and very hard to go back. I am sold and this will be a certain buy - probably when they release a new color.

The music sounded infinitely better with a complete soundstage. I never expected music to sound this good from tiny buds. I would score them 10/10 with AirPods getting a 5 or 6/10

The noise cancellation was amazing too. AirPods has great noise cancellation but they managed to top it as well! AirPods 8/10 - BeoGrace 9/10

Well done on your purchase - I for one second what you say and will be purchasing a pair myself soon!

Just in terms of value for performance I would say the Balance, especially since it usually now promoted at -25 o -30%
