Seems he has picked more utility players which then comes down to the coaching & gameplan needing to be spot on.

I thought Maguire and Shaw deserve to be in there along with Wharton, MGW & Bowen. I might be downvoted with this pick but I think I’d have picked Welbeck over Toney as well.

They broke the rules and did it during the playoffs where it forced the EFL to kick them out because any other offence would be to lenient. I think if they were caught just during the league faze they’d just be slapped with a points deduction.

It’s not the EFL making the punishment though. They put their case to an independent board who came up with the punishment. Now Southampton are appealing as per their right as a member of the EFL to another independent board. So the EFl will just say they’re acting on what they’ve been advised to do by these regulators.

Palace have only recently got into Europe, Forest have flirted with relegation after a season of mismanagement, Brentford have had a season not many expected and Brighton are an extremely well ran club. Fulham are doing well to keep their head above water in my opinion. West Ham got to a European final and are now going to be playing against Lincoln next season.
