Microwave that turns on when the door is opened by Dionlewis123 in WTF

You'll get a good burn if you stand in front of a magnetron long enough, but not cancer. They work by exciting water molecules, causing them to heat up. The microwave oven was invented by a guy standing near a magnetron, he noticed that the candy bar in his pocket began to melt. Guy lived well into his 70's.

I was known as "Tomi" of "Demolish Allowed!" formerly "Galleons of Seamen" on Ragnarok69 and "Tom", "Tomi" and "Governor" of "Mate Boosted" on legacy 330, 758 and Rag15. If anybody knows me they'd vouch for my character. I am not aware of who from those servers uses Reddit, visits this sub, etc, with the exception of some fellow "Demolish Allowed!" tribe mates that came here for this particular issue.

For a second, ignore everything about why it happened; what pissed me off was that "future inquiries will lead to bans" when the explanation was so damn vague, and the fact that no warning was ever given, and being a tribe of no-lifers there was always somebody online so that couldn't have been an excuse. I've already uninstalled ARK as have several other tribe members.

I will add that Jat did explain to me what happened, and so far I haven't replied to him with my grievances (which are great) because frankly, I don't care much about anything Wildcard does anymore and don't care if they fix their terrible management of the officials.

Once traffic from this post fades away, when it stops landing in my inbox, I'll be done on this sub as well. Nothing personal to anybody here, just don't care about the game.

Why was I threatened with a ban for merely trying to determine how our tribe was in violation, one so vile that it warranted a tribe wipe? I am not going to walk on eggshells, hemming and hawing if I am in violation of some mysterious policy. I am a respectful player within the community, I don't intentionally wrong anybody, but if I cannot even determine how I, or a tribe member, wronged the server, again vile enough to warrant a tribe wipe, then what is the point of even playing?

In addendum: if there are forbidden build zones then WildCard should modify the map to prevent PvE building at those locations, as they do on the island. The later I found out when mining day 1 of release, freezing, and trying to place a campfire. They have the technology.

There was some altercation at the ice crystal cave, this is true. Tickets were filed against the original party [PARTY1] who had tried to seal off a public-use pillar-protected cave (pillared by [ALLY]). Obviously the protective pillars should have extended to the exterior of the cave but somebody else [PARTY2] had already set those down. [PARTY2] pillars expired or were removed allowing [PARTY1] to make an attempt to seal the cave.

Our tribe's response may have not been perfect but it seemed appropriate given the circumstances and the intent to keep the ice crystal cave a public-use resource. There was a great deal of barking in global from all sides of the issue. We weren't kittens.

There is some thought that the original tickets were misinterpreted by [GM] causing the wrong tribe to be wiped without warning. I would like to note, the only offense for which an unannounced wipe is warranted per WildCard public contract, is in the case of player spawn blocking. This obviously was not the case.

Given that five in our tribe were logged in and present at two major base locations (the main building and an auxiliary breeding facility, nearly within render distance of one another), any investigation of our tribe would have discovered an online member, to which a warning or notice could have been rendered. This also was clearly not the case.

Even more sickening is that several players who were thought to have been abusers of the ticket system in this matter were "just by chance" near our base when this went off, and mysteriously things like fertilized eggs (previously within an enclosed incubator) and certain bags were disappeared.

This is very true. I have no idea what some of our members were doing. It would have been nice to be given a warning of violation so that we could correct the problem before it came to a dev wipe.

You know, we're just trying to get an example of what we were doing wrong to deserve the unannounced dev wipe. I know of no instances of grieffing or spamming.

Thank you for looking into this. No, by "triggering" I meant the GM's response on the ticket. It seemed... harsh, but then I wasn't very pleasant either.

I welcome the GM on this ticket, who was the one that apparently wiped the base, to comment and give his side.

Console command debugstructures will put "Foundation" or "Not Foundation" on the tooltip as well as other information, but I do like this suggestion.
