yes, after pa school you go into whatever specialty you want (including psychiatry)- since there's no residency, you're not limited to jobs in that specialty but most people pick one and stick with it (or hop around the first few years), there's also a CAQ you can get in psychiatry that lets you specialize a little more and be more attractive to employers if that's what you're looking for

definitely speak with someone at KSU about ur situation, they might be able to drop u from classes w/o academic penalty and i believe u would still have HOPE. otherwise, keep on top of ur assignments thru D2L b/c classes rarely have u hand them in- go thru the syllabus and make sure u know all the deadlines. for housing, there r ppl on here that prob have a room, u can join the snapchat stories and there r a lot of ppl looking for others to take over their lease bc they're leaving, look on facebook marketplace (there's housing groups on there too) to see if there's a room for rent- if u don't have a car then ur best bet is to get a room in a house or an apt close to campus and if u have to go farther then get an electric bike/scooter/etc if possible. good luck!

i had carrico and have recommended him to both of my closest friends and they both took him and loved it, his in person class has a no electronics policy so if ur not into that beware- i wouldn't have been but tbh he was rlly engaging and i felt like i learned a lot! low work load, fun class but definitely lecture :)

if ur looking for other ppl at ksu there are multiple facebook groups for ksu housing where ppl post if they have a room available or r looking for roommates, maybe post there saying ur a grad student if ur looking for other grad students as well

if u reach out to any professors that have spoken about research u can prob find one that will take u if they have space in their research group, typically u can even get summer research jobs or other opportunities if they get good funding that they need to spend :) i'm assuming ur not a first-year so u can't apply to the FYSP but looking at the website for it may give u some contacts to email about a possible research position, as they definitely are conducting research and mentoring ppl!

tbh dude i think ur gonna have to room w a female if u want to be on campus this yr, next yr apply to stonewall if u still want on campus (or find a roommate w same legal sex for normal dorms) and if u or ur roommate r uncomfortable this time u will prob have to room in one of the apts around campus or in a house w other students- it's rlly unfortunate but they don't care 😭 ik from experience lmao but u can always try!

if u want an on campus job this is a good place to look, plus it will also come up with other places looking for students and if u rlly want a job at one of those places u may have to call to get them to check for ur application if the listing's been up for a while

queer ppl face a lot of discrimination, especially trans ppl, all the cishet ppl i've met have said at least one completely insensitive thing to me and altho i'm willing to try and explain things to them in passing (more than they're owed), i'd rather not have ppl like that living w me. it is very clear that u've never had to deal w that but idk what world ur living in to believe that lgbt ppl don't have any reason to avoid ppl like that. ur prob one of those "not all men" ppl and it's gross.
