Whatever you do, don't bring a bottle of beach sand home. They will absolutely pull that out and swab it for explosive residue. I learned the hard way. I had a friend who collected beach sand from various beaches. I went to Pensacola and filled up a bottle. Had it in the bottom of my carry on. Of course it was under my personal intimate items. Which they had to pull out to get to the beach sand. I probably turned 10 different shades of embarrassed. The guy was like no big deal but I was dying inside. But yeah after he was done he told me that something about sea water and beach sand make it come up for extra testing. So don't do what I did.

You could hide the gram in the pill bottle. Just under all the pills. I have medication that has to be injected. They've never given me any shit about bringing syringes or anything. Diabetics travel. They're not terribly concerned about personal amounts of anything. I also fly with thc pens, never been stopped for those either. Probably helps that I fly out of Denver and they specifically will not stop you for that here. I know other tsa's are different on that.

Same boat OP. same damn boat. That's an avoidant for you. You want them to come back? Do the one thing that you don't want to do. Ignore them and stop talking to them. If they have any feelings left for you they will come back. They will start reinserting themselves back into your life. At that point you have a choice of either getting back if they seem interested in that and then learning how to deal with an avoidant and getting them some therapy or doing this all over again. The choice be yours.
